From Bristol Nick:

...I sent an e-mail to Boz last week asking him about the next Moz record. He replied saying that he can't see Morrissey going into the studio before next year. He also said they've written a few songs but he doesn't know what the album will sound like.

Comments / Notes

I'm just relieved they are planning to make another album...I always have a fear that one day Moz will just shout "Stop, I'm done!" Morrissey's creations w/ Boz and Alain are wonderful, and I not only look forward to the new release next year but the upcoming tour....if it stops anywhere near this desolate state.

I have to disagree. Alain & Boz have had their good points, however after seeing them last time around, I wish I could have seen them for the Kill Uncle or Your Arsenal Your. The songs from those days had so much more to them than the songs of today. I think it's about time for Moz to collaberate with some new song writers.

I agree that Morrissey needs a new writing partner. It comes to something when you're wishing he could do a record as good as "Kill Uncle", but that's what I find myself doing!

Hopefully Moz will write with someone different. I like Boz, but Alain has always seemed insincere. Does anyone recall how Alain jumped infront of Gary while he was performing a bass solo and the pissed look on Gary's face? Out with the old, Moz.

The band's fine. If anything they need a new producer. Am I the only one who thinks Maladjusted is the weakest album? I really like about half of it, but the other half(or so) falls flat. It seems to me to be thrown together, just a collection of randomlly assorted songs rather than an album. Well, those are my thoughts anyway.

A new producer would be cool, but any change in the writing or band members would seriously bother me. The greatest rockabilly sound ever-

I agree with JOE, I like Boz better than Alain. Of course, he writes most of the songs, but Boz's have something that Alain's doesn't. The best songs in vauxhall and I are written by Boz!!!!

Changing morrisseys songwriters would wreck him. I'd take boz and alain anyday over one johnny marr but, I do agree that he should begin to do some more songs that resemble some of his old.He also has to return to sire/reprise records thats where he wrote some of his best songs.

I don't know about you lot, but the best track by MORRISSEY was a song called `LOST', and if anybody is interested, the music was written by SPENCER!To bad though because Spencer is not working with the big man anymore or so I here,WHY? Morrissey 'lost'a really talented and beautiful man,I only wish Spencer to carry on, I would like to here him blossom, his music is beautiful.

What about Spencer, 'LOST' is the best track by MORRISSEY in years! and Spencer wrote the music, has everybody gone deaf!

Spencer's contributions were wonderful. Wide To Receive and Lost are two of my faves. Perhaps he may return again, as after Vauxhall? Boz has written almost all gems, but Alain has been very creative, and has his masterpieces. If Moz were to discard him, I would have to take him!
By the way, Boz likes Shostakovich!

Too bad Mick Ronson passed away, he did a damned good job producing Your Arsenal. I say now that Blur ditched Stephen Street(poor choice), bring him back as the producer on the last ablum, giving a Smith's touch to the new Morrissey stuff. He could even jam some bass on the album, that would be cool.
