PBS freaks "Oscillate Wildly"

From Javi:

I live in LA and my dad is a PBS freak. He was watching a program and as soon it was over they announced what was going to be on for the next 3 hours. To my surprise the background music was the Smiths' "Oscillate Wildly." Have-a-go- on that I know I did.

KCET, the LA PBS station, has been using Oscillate Wildly as the background music for short "coming up" commercials for a few months now. One evening
awhile ago I heard Girl Afraid in the backround to a commercial for an upcoming program, but I ddn't get the name. KCET-"Infinitely More" Smihts!

In addition to this, I too was watching PBS one night and during the program schedule they played the intro to "Girl Afraid". Someone at the station must really enjoy Moz & Marr. Mike & Andy too, ofcourse. NICE PBS!

KCET probably uses Smiths songs because they're advertising for British programs such as "As Time Goes By" (starring the fabulous Judi Dench).
