Never Been Kissed in theaters
Posted on Mon, Apr 12 1999
by David T. <david@Morrissey-solo.com>
Although it's been mentioned before, here it is again as I'm getting a lot of e-mails about it with some more details. From Kristen:

I'm sure I am not the only one who went to see this movie this weekend seeing as though Drew Barrymore is absolutely fabulous; but towards the end of the film, during the prom scene, they played "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want". the movie was wonderful and hearing that song made it all the better! just a little note to all who are not quite sure if they should see the movie... a definite yes!:)

From J.J. Harrier:

Never Been Kissed has a prom scene in which 'Please, Please, Please...' is played in the background of a slow dance scene. It plays twice!

Comments / Notes

They played the 2nd half of "Please, Please, Please" back to back...did playing the complete song once ever occur to them?

Did anyone else see this movie? I thought it was the worst thing I paid $7.50 for in a LONG time.

The trailers make it look better than it actually is. The only highlight of course was the double playing of the Smiths, but DAMN these pre-teen flicks! "...i'll never make that mistake again..."

At least the movie didn't star anyone from the WB!

The movie is wonderful. "Please , Please" isn't the only reason to see it. It's funny and has heart and best of all Drew cast herself in a roll were she's a loser. So much more enjoyable than Shakespere in Love. Don't trust the above comments. I beg you all to see it.
