"Loved & Lost" / Spencer Cobrin update
Check out the new "Loved & Lost"
site by Alison, who does "the unofficial
fanzine for Spencer Cobrin" called Operations.
On the site are several interesting articles and an update on Spencer by Spencer himself:
...I am sure any or almost all information on myself is very unaccurate, so why dont
I fill you in just a few details if I may.
That I have been living in New York City for the past 2½ years in the east village.
That I am an aspiring composer and also play piano and guitar.
That three if my works were recorded by Morrissey last year, they are; Wide To
Receive', Lost (b-side to Roys Keen single) and Now I
Am A Was (b-side to Satan......Soul).
That my band Sonnenblume played its very first show in N.Y.C. on the 22nd Sept
at Nightingales (a sleazy dive bar).
That I am an art collector.
I love the countryside and to read.
I love to eat well and enjoy fine wine.
Travels often, mainly to L.A.
I am working on a cutting edge electronica album.

Smiths reference in "Model Behavior"
From Peter Payne of New York:
This is from a passage from Jay
McInerneys (Bright Lights, Big City), latest novel "Model
Behavior". It is a rather good read at that. It has to do with the main
character, Connor McKnights girlfriend leaving him.
"Shes gone Connor. Shes only coming back to get her
clothes. Plus, watch, shell take all the tapes and CDs you bought when you
were together. They always do, even the ones they bitched about all the time. It
doesnt matter that she absolutely hated Led Zeppelin II or LOUDER THAN BOMBS, it
doesnt matter that she always told you to turn them down."
I found it quite interesting to still
see them referred to in Literature. As I said before it is a good book and as well as
Model Behavior, the books contains 7 short stories. Well worth the buy.

Morrissey mention: Upcomingmovies.com
From Greg
Dean Schmitz:
I dont know if its accepted for
an author to submit their own work, but here goes...
A few weeks ago, while doing my preview of the movie, The Theory of Flight,
I was moved to compare it to Morrisseys song "November Spawned a Monster".
The article in question is at:
