My suspicion is that some one at the station has a personal fascination, as 99(gen)X is most often MTV for the blind.

For those in you in the Northern NJ area (Morris County), I do a Mandatory Morrissey every Thursday at 5:30. Tune in to my show 'Hang the DJ' on WFDM 90.3 FM.

Thank god. Maybe 91x in San Diego will get rid of "Mandatory Marley" everyday at 4:25pm. Its killing me.

No chance, Bobby. The staff of that radio station are drug addicts, and they wouldn't give up anything related to getting high. And most of the time if you say Morrissey in San Diego, everyone just says "bless you".
So, there's a Mandatory Morrissey in a town other than mine? Oh, how I dearly wish I was not here.

there is a local radio station here that at one time featured a "mandatory morrissey" program in the late hours and was a dream come true, but alas, i fear it is gone forever. i never cared much for the radio anyway............

Wow. What a shock it was to find something about Atlanta's Mandatory Morrissey on the web site! *I* am the person who sent the initial email that was read during our 80's flashback show and hence started Mandatory Morrissey :) They were doing it daily..but have now limited it to Mandatory Morrissey Mondays. It has a little intro and everything :) So..for everyone out there...all you have to do is call and write and hound your local stations and it DOES make a difference!
