Well, my nerves were shredded to fuck after watching that England V Portugal game which ran into extra time and a penalty shoot out and England lost cos they were playing 11 Portuguese players and the Swiss referee, who disallowed a perfectly legitmate goal in the last two minutes, for no reason at all other than he was pissed about us knocking Switzerland out last week or something, and that would have won England the match. What a cruel way to go out. By injustice from a Swiss fuckwit. After several hundred years of neutrality, it's about time the Swiss had a war, so really think we should invade them soon, and then bring back death by disembowelling just for him.

So I'll be supporting Sweden from now on, and actually think either they, or Portugal, will win the whole competition, although it will be hard to watch that Sweden Vs Holland game tonight with any enthusiasm as I feel like I don't wanna watch a game of football ever, ever, EVER again!

But at least it's not tennis.

At the moment the TV here is dominated by Tennis at Wimbledon, as it is every June, and it really pisses me off. In all my life, I've never met a single person who plays fooking tennis, never met a single person who watches fookin tennis, never met a single person who even understands fooking tennis, so why the fook do the BBC cancel all good programmes to spend 15 hours a day broadcasting what is basiclaly a minority sport no one cares about? Oh but I know why, because the BBC is a middle-class ox-bridge institution and tennis is a middle class ox-bridge type game. Well they know where they can shove their Radio Times and cartons of strawberries as regards this particualr issue, and let's hope that insufferable arse Tim Henman get's knocked out soon, as he always does, just to piss off all those silly Daily Mail readers.

Gotta admit, though, I do like watching the women's tennis from time to time, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual tennis, and is more an aesthetic interest in their outfits.

At least Morrissey is on TV tomorrow night in a live broadcast from Glastonbury!

What a sign of the times here that four of the five most recent journals I just looked at have their comments disabled!

the people who have their comments disabled are the same people who have caused so much grief to others here lately and they don't want to be victimized themselves.

many people were sickened by their airing of dirty laundry a couple weeks ago and they know this. They don't want to be attacked by eachother either lol.

Its all A classic case of not wanting a taste of their own medicine. they can dish out bitchiness but cant take it.

        I used to like to play tennis when I was a kid at my neighbourhood Dolores Park (in the frequently mentioned Castro)...quite a work out!

        yes tales please keeping supporting other teams than Portugal. Not only we don't need it but also it brings us luck, apparently :)
        And please stop the internet attack - not only it scarcely suits the dignity of most english supporters, which we do and will always respect, but also remember you dont' know me a lot and therefore you cannot tell if I have other things that are bothering me or not.
        In order words, see if my attitude is the same...

            No, I'n not angry with you, and wouldn't be even if it did turn out you were winding us up! I guess that idea of mine comes from the fact that you're not the only person who can be a bit paranoid, eh?

            So who was it, when you were a child, Vesper, who left you with this constant sense that all the things you do, the expression of yourself, are gonna make people angry with you? Who used to get angry with you?

            Bye the way, if you look at comments to the journal entry below this one, you will see abusive comments from anonymous posters, from some time ago, proving to you once and for all, that these people were doing this before you even came here, so don't take it so personally.
