Warm, sociable, humourous, stereotypical scorpio! I moved down to London recently from Lancashire, and share a flat with my best friend the lushious Girl Drowning. I also have a young scamp of a hampster called withnail, who seems to enjoy his chocolate more than i do grrr I am passionate about my interests, especially Art (which I studied for my degree ) and music, I like all sorts from the Beatles and Stone Roses to JS Bach and Beethoven to folk. I enjoy peoples company, trees, cooking, sport, and philosophy. I'm not religious as such but am interested in spritual matters - my mother is a palm reader! I get awfuly passionate (what a scorpio!) about literature too, from the great Russian writers, such as Tolstoy, to Douglas Adams. I also enjoy films, chocolate and fine wine (separately and together!) I like Ribena and my favourite colour is green. I belive a degree of humblness is important in life as well as the ability to not take oneself to seriously. I find life infinatly fascinating and am constantly wanting to expanding my mind and experiences. Boethius, author of the Consolation of Philosophy says "It’s my belief that history is a wheel; inconstancy is my very essence says the wheel. Rise up on my spokes if you like but don’t complain when you cast back down into the depths. Good times pass away but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it’s also our hope. The worst of times like the best are always passing away." but then again i find Ian Brown's quote "its not where your from, its where your at" equally apt.

birthday
its my mothers birthday today, bless her (yes she is aries, you can only imagine the fracars that took place between me and her everynow and again, a scorpio and an aries ye gods!) she is such a wonderful mum and i love her so much. i actually thought it was yesterday so i phoned her last night lol anyway, we were chatting and she was telling me how some artists had come round to visit her (my mother is an artist and moves in those circles) as she is doing some interesting work at the moment, and liasing with other artists, one of them was quite famous in this country and she saw one of my paintings i had done on the wall in the living room, she was really impressed with it and wanted to buy it. this woman has pots of money, anyway she can get her work exhibited in lots of quite big gallerys and she has a webiste that sells artwork and prints, and she told my mother that if i do some more paintings, she will take them to gallerys with her and get them displayed and she will also sell them through her website!
this of course is great news, i couldnt see me ever been able to be an artist in todays world but this could be an amazing oportunity for me, im already feeling creative! it was really sweet last night when i was telling GD and she told me how much she liked my paintings.
my art was something i had forgotten in manyways and thought deep down that i would never do again, but i feel this doesnnt need to be the case now, i did get a thrill at the thought of painting again, i just need to get my act together now the oportunity is there!
