Tanz den Mussolini
This idea got into my head today and grows and grows... so I thought I should rite it down before the stress of the week will make it fade.
The subject of this entry is actually a song title by the 80ies minimal-electro-combo "DAF" which stands for "Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft" (German American Friendship). My brother used to own their albums, and during my wild days in industrial clubs I managed to get those records from him. Anyway... music is not what my idea is about.
My plan is to take a photo each day for the next 100 or 366 days. One photo every day of a tree, a schoolkid, a garbage can, a banana... but not only me, no, I also want my friend M in America to take a photo of the same subject each day. We might either collect them and save them for some exhibition event, or post them online daily. Remember I only had this idea today, those are very raw plans.
I just like to show how the world can be totally the same and totally different when you compare 2 locations. Maybe other locations can join too?
Also, I want to think about what kind of subjects we choose. Should it be just the pure banality or do we want to show things that matter, in any kind of way?
So this project will help us to focus on our friendship for a moment everyday too. I'm sure we will communicate a lot, and I hope other people who'll be aware of this project will do the same. So by saying this, it is already inclined that we NEED to choose subjects that matter. Advice, ideas, critics welcome! goodnight, sweetness
