martin writes:There's a nice cover of Please Please Please by Rob Dickinson, who was singer with 90s indie darlings Catherine Wheel and now is a solo artist. You can hear it and download it at the link below. http://www.myspace.com/ROBDICKINSON ---
twitter.com/torrmoz also writes:Rob Dickinson, the vocalist from seminal British alternative band the Catherine Wheel, digitally released his new single, "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" via his own Carrera Records on May 19, 2009.
Enthusiastically received during live shows, this plaintive version of the Smiths’ classic tune is a sweet treat to fans while Dickinson is in the process of recording his next solo album.

Saddo writes:The Smiths/Morrissey Edition of Lolita Party Colt 45, $6 cover / 9:30pm-10:30pm Glasslands Gallery 289 Kent Avenue, at South 1st Williamsburg
For those of you who get an instant boner watching a girl play guitar, this is your night. Kaki King plays a special set tonight at a celebration of all things Smiths/Morrissey. Probably around 1am or so.
As for the rest of this party, it'll be Smiths and Morrissey tributes by a bunch of irrelevant acts like Beta Beta, Bodega Girls and The Stationary Set. Afterparty with Rude Dudes, whoever they are.
