This is one concert which won't be cancelled, and here's the proof: British singer Morrissey landed at Ben-Gurion Airport on Sunday evening.
The former Smiths' vocalist arrived in Israel along with his assistants and concert production team, all dressed in black and carrying a black handbag and a number of plastic bags.
Morrissey, 49, walked through the VIP lounge and headed towards the Cartlon Hotel in Tel Aviv. Sources close to the singer said that his itinerary for Monday would depend on his mood.
On Tuesday, Morrissey will finally perform at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park, with the opening acts provided by the New York Dolls and Asaf Avidan.

I plan to do a few shows to announce it's arrival into the world but it wont be a tour, I am so busy working with Morrissey
On the new Morrisey album 'Years Of Refusal' I take it that it is two tracks that you have written together? (Black Cloud and Football Giveaway)

That's some instrumental music I wrote for a TV documentary called , strangely enough "Football Giveaway" , nothing to do with Morrissey. I have, however, 4 co-writes on the new Morrissey album, the first single of this year, which was, 'That's how people grow up," the next single which is 'I'm Throwing my Arms around Paris', a song called 'One day goodbye will be farewell' and the mighty 'Black Cloud' so only one point out of a possible 4 for you there!
Have you done any more, say for singles/B-sides?
Amongst the many songs I have written with Morrissey, there are 2 unreleased Boz/Moz songs on the re-issue of Southpaw Grammar that I am quite excited about, "Honey You Know Where To Find Me" and "You Should've Been Nice To Me"
What are your future plans and what are you working on now?
We are planning a lot of shows to go with the new Morrissey album 'Years Of Refusal'

german film star writes:I was recently gifted a collection of Smiths/Morrissey collectables and memorabilia from a Japanese acquaintance residing in Tokyo, Ms. Keiko Kondo. Included was a series of eight good quality b&w photographs of Morrissey doing an impromptu meet-and-greet with fans on the platform of Nagoya station, Japan, while travelling the country on the 1991 'Kill Uncle' tour. As far as I am aware these rare photos were never part of an official photo session, and have never been given a general release. Although Ms. Kondo was present at the Nagoya meet-and-greet, she was not responsible for taking the photos; rather, she received them from another fan in exchange for some of her own photos. Ms. Kondo saw Morrissey perform in Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama, and at the Budokan in Tokyo. On one occasion she and a friend bumped in Boz Boorer in a record store. She told me Boz showed her a list of CDs Morrissey had requested. One of the names on the list was Ludus! The photos have been scanned and posted at my Morrissey website Lucky Lisp.
