Wicklow Gig no Morrissey
The rumoured second gig in Ireland is not happening. Morrissey was offered to play the concert but turned it down. This is coming from an official source.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Ads recently hinted at Morrissey playing. Rita writes:http://elbo.ws/post/1064536/As well as this site, discussing that Morrissey "will" be performing at this one-day festival, in yesterday's Irish Times supplement, "The Ticket", a full-page ad appeared, showcasing "A Day In The Life Festival" ("Plus Very Special Guests!") using Morrissey's Greatest Hits logos (but with a ? in place of the regal M!) and purple coloured background.

Middle school trio rocks out on debut CD single - East Brunswick Sentinel
Excerpt:
IMOZ, a group of sixth-graders from the Hammarskjöld Middle School, is already making a name for itself among their peers and music fans who have downloaded their song. The young trio has not only released a CD single, but an accompanying video for their song "Don't Listen to Mom," written by band member Morrissey Balsamides and his father, Manny
...The song, described as combining the power and pop punk of Blink 182 and Green Day, can be downloaded from several Web sites, including iTunes and Amazon. The video can be found on YouTube and I-MOZ also has its own MySpace page. The group also has its own Web site, www.imozmusic.com.
...Manny said the band got its name from Morrissey's nickname, "Moz," but they decided to modernize it by attaching the I at the beginning.

Wanna be in my gang? - The Guardian
It is one thing to love a person's music - quite another to try and physically resemble that person while watching them perform in concert. Chuck Klosterman on the uber-fans
Excerpt:
As I've said, I am not an authentic fanatic; I lack grit. But I spend a lot of time thinking about fanatics and I've concluded that the following 10 artists have the most dedicated, least rational fan followings:
1. Slayer
2. Tori Amos
3. Sublime
4. Kiss
5. Bruce Springsteen
6. Black Sabbath (particularly the Tony Martin era, for some reason)
7. Jimmy Buffett
8. Iron Maiden
9. Guided By Voices
10. Morrissey
