Details posted in the forums (original post by Stuheff):As I work in the Media industry I thought I would share with you that Uncut Magazine is doing a Smiths special next issue.
It's out next week.

Also, a post by Maurice:
It's good; I've read it!
Loads of pop people from the last 30 years discussing their favourite Smiths song.
Singer from the Feeling nominates The Boy With the Thorn (‘Morrissey’s most delicious yodelling’!), 3 of the Smiths give their favourites, Marr has written quite a lot of stuff for it.
Other contributors include Gallagher, Suggs, Ian Brown, Mani, Buzzcocks, Kook, Bragg, Kaiser Chiefs, etc.
Lots of comments, inevitably, about Morrissey including some on where he is now. All in all, a pretty interesting read…

The man who sold the world - The Times Online
Excerpt:
...Last year he made his biggest splash for years by producing Morrissey’s acclaimed chart-topper, Ringleader of the Tormentors. And it is Morrissey who provides the gushing foreword to Visconti’s autobiography, which is published next month. “Tony understands the code of music brilliantly,” the singer enthuses. “He is a noble example of the self-flogger who understands that the song doesn’t end just because it’s over.”
...Visconti has mostly positive things to say about his famous collaborators. He calls Bowie a “man of honour”, and declines my invitation to share some filthy gossip about Morrissey. “I have never seen him with a member of either sex,” he insists. “I honestly think his whole love life is his music. He prefers writing a song to having sex.”

Event Listings - San Francisco Bay Guardian
SATURDAY (3rd)
"Morrissey Ruined My Life" Workspace Limited, 2150 Folsom, SF; 864-6232. 7pm-midnight, $5. The subtitle to this event, wherein action painter Sean Starr creates a canvas to the music of the Smiths and Morrissey, is "A Tribute to the World's Greatest Poet." Excuse me while I barf in my hat. I'm sure the king of weepy chick-rock will inspire equally histrionic swirly canvases from Starr, who also happens to have a piece hanging in the Governator's office. Arnie is a huge Moz fan.
