...2009...2009...? Happy New Year to all. Hope you all have been enjoying the holidays. Thanks again to everyone in NY who braved the elements and turned out for our US theatrical debut. We're off to (yet another) good start... Next up: San Francisco/Berkeley runs begin on Friday January 23 at the Landmark Lumiere and Shattuck cinemas. Premiere party plans are just now taking shape and as always, if anyone wants to pitch in to help us promote the Bay Area, please be in touch. (Still trying to lock down the best venue for our opening night party so if anyone has an in at a Scott-friendly bar, etc - let me know.) It would help us out even if you just forward this info on to a friend or two in the Bay Area. LA also taking shape - NuArt engagement begins Feb 27. Other US cities will be booked shortly...stand by. Thanks - SK. (REMINDER: NETFLIX: For all US fans. PLEASE do us a huge favor. If you are Netflix users, add "Scott Walker - 30 Century Man" to your queue. Even though the DVD release date is unknown, the film is in the system. The greater the pre-rental demand is, the more units the buy!) to unsubscribe from this newsletter, visit http://www.scottwalkerfilm.com/blog/?page_id=88

Scott Walker tribute album: pre-order now! http://www.myspace.com/scottwalker30centuryman "...you can hear her hum softly/from a fire escape in Times Square..." Hello fans, hello friends - the Scott Walker tribute album that I have been working on with my good friends at Lakeshore records is now available for pre-order. Digital and CD release is right around the corner. (And we're trying to figure out a possible option for a limited vinyl edition...)
Hi! Long time since I (or anyone else) posted here. I was just thinking - has any of you read a biography over Scott? There are some out there and I would like to read a good one. I started reading one which had a very true and cliché foreword saying something like "either you love him or you don't understand what the fuzz is about". Anyway I hope someone still reads here and can give me a tip. Cheers!
Hello....there is Scott Walker: Deep Shade of Blue by Mike Watkinson and Pete Anderson (now out of print but you can still get copies). I haven't read this ;The Impossible Dream: The Story of Scott Walker and the Walker Brothers by Anthony Reynolds. Not solely about Scott....The Walker Brothers - No Regrets by John and Gary Walker is interesting. there is No Regrets: Writing on Scott Walker: Collected Pieces coming out in May this year.
