Toaster

I've been out of the hospital since March 16, having been in for ten days due to emergency surgery. Without getting too detailed, they basically had to split me open in half and that probably saved my life. Now I'm faced with daily visits to the open wound care center, who reports that I seem to be healing just fine. My time in the hospital was spent doing lots of thinking, rest and growing of my beard, which is full and bushy and will be gone SOON! I still can't believe how many people came by to visit or sent cards and messages wishing me well and praying for me (despite my chronic atheism). You really don't know who your friends and loved ones are until something like this happens to you. I'm incredibly thankful for everything the hospital and their fantastic staff has done for me. There are a few nurses and a couple assistants that made my ten days so much easier to handle and I'll never forget them the rest of my life.

Right now, I'm off to more bed rest and think about my weight loss... I'm down to 187lbs from 230-something last summer! I feel so sexy
