      Well all though Morrissey can sing he is got quite a bland/ sort of mono tone singing. wouldn't have added too much to it.

      It's good but (slightly ironically) the latest version by the Morrissey band is actually more beautiful and more subtle. And Marr's singing isn't within a million miles of Morrissey's...

      If you spin round on te spot really fast and only half listen, there's a tiny echo of a young Edwyn Collins in the vocal. In the nicest possible sense of course.
