Open air gig tonight in this wonderful, essential theatre in Florence, sold out.
Different order of songs in the setlist. I saw lot of guys who are following date by date. The only real surprise has been
"Let me kiss you" that Moz didn't sing. It seemed he missed the tune or the correct moment to start singing but fortunately he had hardcore fans by his side in the first rows, singing loud for him. I read his lips saying to us "help me", and we all did. More chat than in Milano, for present I saw a book and a couple of letters. Despite the huge security we had one try of stage invasion by a guy during the gig (I believe russian) and, at the encore (without H), a true coordinated assault to the stage by usual heroic guys I have seen at every concert by now and others. All treated not so well by security but I saw them after they were catched, tired but safe. As soon as i finish my pizza (I'm italian you know) and my beer I write the setlist.

Ok, I just finished one of the worst pizza I ever had (included abroad), so, for all you folks, at last we have...
The setlist:
You have killed me
Still ill
I'm throwing my arms around Paris
When last i spoke to Carol
Maladjusted
Black cloud
Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me
Ouija board, ouija board
You're the one for me, Fatty
Action is my middle name
I know it's over
Let me kiss you (no vocal, sung by audience)
To give (the reason I live)
Everyday is like sunday
Shoplifters of the world unite
People are the same everywhere
Meat is murder
I will see you in far off places
How soon is now?

Oh, last thing: this night Moz didn't throw his shirt to the audience and remained on stage watching the terrible video of "Meat is murder".

And now the hardest one: Grado. A small wonderful town by the sea near Trieste and Slovenia: plane on friday afternoon from Rome and then a hired car. Don't want to see my bank account on Monday. But it worthed.

Thanks again aliceasr! (Sort of pleased that on the rare occasion you can have some awful pizza over there. Still, what we get over here for the large part is just an abomination)

Thanks for the report Aliceasr! Can't wait to hear about Grado.

I'd love to see a video of lmky with no vocals

Yes, thanks for the report, and I would also love to see a video of LMKY. Amazing and touching, I bet!

LMKY sans vocals wasn't as romantic as it sounds. I'm sure it will surface soon

really wish he'd do some variations to the setlist, at least in Italy where he has history and he knows a large part of the audience is following him up and down the country. Tomorrow's show in Grado will probably be more of the same though

I'm not complaining. Hearing 'I Know It's Over' nightly is worth the price of admission alone. And I finally broke down and bought one of those duffel bags he has for sale at the merch table

Thank you Alice for the enthusiastic & funny reviews. Sounds like you are having a blast. I was in Rome & it was fantastic, the Italian make for a great crowd. I await you report from Grado. And don't worry about the bank account too much you will make up for it soon, but the memories will last a lifetime.

One thing I WILL gripe about though: Florence seriously needs to get its shit together, public transit-wise

unless you are in the centro, hailing a taxi in that f***ing city is like pulling teeth from a wounded mountain lion. You literally have to chuck a rock at the cab to get the twats driving it to notice that "hey, I'd like a ride over here!"

As he said yesterday: Every man is a woman inside, every woman is a man inside. Everybody was born as a woman....pffffff.

Great Mozzer yesterday. Really easy going funny with the audience.

Liked the little detail about Moz remaining on stage to watch the "Meat..." video with the crowd ... like a diligent teacher

You forgot Last Night i Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me...How can you???

@Thesmithsmorrissey You can't hail taxis in Florence; you have to call them.
And there's a tram and buses outside the venue, so maybe public transport is not too bad...

Its been a while since I last saw Moz, and although there were mentions of him being tired the other night, I thought he had more stage presence last night than the ultimate time he shimmied around London.
I thought the venue was beautiful, with great sound quality and with the odd draft of much needed fresh breeze. Concrete seating plinths prevented people from pogoing so the crowd was static, but very audible.
Moz seem a little bit ‘blue’, adding ‘(f***ing) face’ (‘It has to be’) on Everyday (unless I totally misheard that bit ) and ’I wrote this song on my knees… (I usually am)’. During the mic pass around a guy asked for a hug, to which moz replied ‘now?.... im a little busy..later who knows’
The karaoke version of Let Me was a bit long…I don’t think he missed his que as he didn’t even have the mic in his hand initally.
Overall I really enjoyed it…loads of smiles, physical/verbal crowd interaction, a couple of comedic routines between moz and boz and a nice hug with stage invader at the end..…but as always, Last Night was emotional.

The book given to Moz was "Camere Separate" by Vittorio Tondelli. Francesco
