I agree, the truth is she has server issue's. She is not grateful to Morrissey she spends her time bitching him-as well as trying to use him to do interviews together and whatever else she can think of.
Her and Tony are both as bad as each other-He goes on Bowie sits, tries to chat up fans and lives off Bowie/Bolan stories-A few friends of mine are on James Makers page and he deleted Tony yesterday and expressed his distaste. I would cut and paste his remark but I am not on his page
Kristeen and Tony deserve each other, Tony pushed her on to Bowie, Placebo, Morrissey and others. The Story of how Morrissey discovered her is false. Tony and her planned it, Tony had been trying to push her onto Morrissey for a while.
She is, by all accounts, not a nice person...
I think the only reason she is on the tour is because Morrissey feels guilty for sacking her and he has a big heart.
I think I have learned to understand the lingo now that Morrissey uses when he is putting money into an artist. I am so glad that it is not my money this time and that I was kept from going to add the Edinburgh concert on an impulse. I was right to imagine however that he'd put some effort into that show as he was on a personal high from having received the key to Tel Aviv and members of Manchester City Council saying to the media that they'd look into whether or not it possible to give him something similar of Manchester.
I think that Morrissey does not have a big heart, he was and is expecting a return on his money.

So Kristeen and Bowie actually sang together? I assumed this was a pic from an Asshole Convention.

Yes, they collaborated on an excellent song of hers called Savior, which is on her LP Breasticles...you'd know that, if you had any actual knowledge of the musician who you constantly trash on here simply because of her proximity to Morrissey.

Considering the number of friends she seems to have in high places she sure is hitting the heights. She reminds me of an X Factor contestent, gets all the leg ups that somebody could want and far more than they deserve but is still rubbish and in KY's case is so rubbish that no matter how much help she gets she's still destined for failure.

I can assure you that song can only be called good or excellent because David Bowie is on it, and not because Kristeen Young is

I knew that. I played the fool to set up my hilarious joke.

of course the irony of this thread is that the fact it is rumbling on weeks after the original post, perpetuated by a handful of vociferous posters, only serves to prove Kristeen's point.

You are a hilarious joke...

Just curious...if she's 'hitting the heights' how come she's not really gone anywhere in her career, other than tour with Morrissey? has her music ever received any air time---anywhere? Do people (other than Morrissey fans) know about her? What type of following is she attracting (other than Midnite)? To me, her career seems kinda stagnant. I heard her interview while she was in Israel and she talked about a new album, but what is going to happen to it? What type of promo is she planning for it? What target audience is it aimed at? Sorry for all the questions---they seem kinda silly with all the vitrol I've read on this thread towards her but I am very curious. I YouTubed the "Savior" song---its ok and that's it, it didn't strike me as a Top 10 or even a Top 100. Has any of her music or her albums placed on BillBoard? I like David Bowie and all but it seems like a despirate attempt on TV's part to garner KY any attention, which IMHO has failed. She's been doing this a long time and only has Morrissey to hang on to, to get to "the big time" which she isn't even in the ball park of that. She's not exactly rubbish but she's not all that great either...just mediocre. I know I'll probably get a load of grief for these questions...sigh...but oh well. I consider them legit along with my lack of knowledge about such things. Any information would be nice. Thanks.

You're right -- she's been at this for nearly 20 years. Shitty as it may be to admit, Morrissey and Tony Visconti haven't gotten her anywhere, or at least not where she'd like to be. The DIY thing doesn't play well when you're nearing 40. Regardless of the ethos behind it, after a certain age I think it reads as amateurish to industry folk (and possibly a large part of the public as well). If she were satisfied with her lot in life then it's all a moot point, but she's been clear she wants more.

vociferousness implies you're a mental patient? jesus, just how prozac'ed up is the world you're living in?

Sorry, I was being sarcastic with the hitting the heights thing
I was just pointing out that if she did have anything about her with all of the leg ups that she's been getting then surely her career would have gotten somewhere by now?
It hasn't because she isn't very good.

That's ok. It's hard to denote tone while typing and the two replys I received to my inquiry were enlightening. I agree with you...all the 'leg ups' she gotten haven't done squat for her and I'm not sure if she's just living in a bubble dream of 'one day I'll actually make it'. Surely this can't be the only talent she has-singing and pounding on a piano? Are there no back up plans? No other talents? My back up plans have saved me many times and i've been grateful that i've had them on the back burner.
