I am so proud of Morrissey that he did not cancel any of the shows on his tour so far and now he has a month off and I am so proud of him and I love him very very much although you fans deserve to have cancellations and I hope he cancels on you all next month. You fans are two faced phonies and back stabbing hypocrites and you make me sick.

This one goes on Spanish, excuses for the folks overseas.

I was at the Morrissey gig tonight at the Metropol, it was awesome, he put on a great show and the crowd responded well. I'm a British Expat in Bogota and I was concerned the crowd might be a bit dull.

Sound was a bit crappy but not as bad as the London Arena, they had stuck some acoustic panels to the wall as the whole place is bare concrete. I think he picked the perfect venue, only holds about 3500, he filled it and it was still an intimate gig.

Opened with First of the Gang and intermingled some fairly odd comments between his songs, tried his hand at Spanish too, throwing olé, gracias, muchas gracias and hasta luego into his patter.

Would be keen to know who the line up was, there was Matt Walker, Solomon Walker, Jesse Tobias, then the keyboardist was a Colombian I think called Gustavo who made an emotional "I am home and look who brought me here" speech then there was a guy in a sequin dress called Gaynor Tension or something, pretty cool stage presence they all had.

Awesome night thanks Mozza, made me proud to be a Brit tonight, hope you come back to Bogota next time you are passing.

Oh and Kristeen Young was great too

I don't understand this ridiculous idea that seems to have come about whereby the band have to perfom almost naked - except for Boz in his drag outfit. It just seems to me that Moz mustn't really care anything about Boz' feelings to go ahead with it. Clearly Boorer wouldn't feel comfortable just wearing a pair of shorts - if I were Morrissey, that would be reason enough to forget the whole idea.

I agree with you. You would think that Morrissey would have some concern/care for his band--especially loyal Boz. But, we see Morrissey as a selfish man degrading his band. Perhaps that is why he can't get good, talented musicians.

Great gig, awesome gig... it doesn't get any "Englishier" than this.

And for those who enjoy the two best English things ever, english music and football, I found this very fun stuff about Morrissey & football: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2.../sport.comment

Irish but now living in Colombia, went to the gig last night, good solid set, sound quite good...particularly enjoyed Irish Blood, English Heart for obvious reasons, it being Paddy's day and all...as for the outfits, wouldn't have looked out of place in a gay bar, the guys clearly didn't look comfortable...If Moz is going to subject his men to this he's gotta join in and put on a yellow hot pants himself.

PS anyone have any more info on the intro songs and interviews, seemed like England in the 60/70's, was there any central theme?

If I bought a ticket to see Morrissey and it turned out to be one where the band was a fat woman and a bunch of gay boys in shorts I'd want my money back.

Morrissey is a bully. Don't try and tell me every member of the band is happy to wear those pants even if Boz is happy dragging up. The t-shirts as uniforms are bad enough when they're just something like the Nico ones or NY Dolls ones from years ago but stupid 6th form slogans... And as for the pants... Oh please stop. Shame is the name...

Very true--Morrissey is such an advocate of treating animals with respect, but he cannot even do this with his band.
