Bill Oddie, who hates Morrissey, comments on William The Terrible's endorsement of trophy hunting - true-to-you.net
4 April 2016

"I think it's ridiculous. It's grotesque. When I saw what he said, I thought, well that's commercial euthanasia then, isn't it? We may as well start doing that with our grannies and grandpas. The Royal Family is steeped in blood sports and always has been, but William's comments did make me think about giving back my OBE. I don't mind disrespecting the Royal Family; I'm surprised I'm not on some sort of black list, because the Royal Family does seem totally pointless to me."
In a final blow to William, Oddie adds: "It was hypocritical of him, although, really, it was more that he's just not very bright sometimes. I'm afraid that's more what it is."

who the f***s bill oddie? i guess i could google it. i guess i do have that knowledge at my fingertips. but im hoping someone will just tell me, cause im not sure i care *quite* enough to look it up myself

Pure common sense.

How can anyone hate Morrissey? They should be friends

nobody can hate morrissey. He is a saint. Ever heard hozier sing "drain the whole sea, get something shiny"?
Morrissey doesn't kill living beings. He wouldn't decorate his
Home with coral. Pink. I love her. They will duet. You just wait. I hope and pray

Why does William love killing so much? Is he psychotic? Is he naturally evil? Is it some sort of reaction from the death of his mother? I cannot grasp this. Why does anyone kill for fun? Isn't it disturbing to think that lots of people enjoy this? Surely these are to a certain extent dangerous people?
Lots of questions. I am at a loss.

Yes, but what do Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden think? It is VITAL that I know.

because certain facts stand alone? that is, you dont have to be morrissey, or even in alliance with morrissey, to know that prince william is an irremediable dumbass?

Basically Bill has come out with a statement which puts himself in the spotlight of the media so with Steven's celebrity status fading by the day he's hopping on Bills back for a bit of a cheap publicity ride. It's just typical of Steven these days.
My guess would be that Billy hates Steve for being lazy and using animals for cheap publicity whereas Bill is very proactive and likes to get stuck in helping the animals out at the coal face or on demonstrations.
Now that Rolf Harris is serving bird lime I'm very sure Steven will be seriously considering filming a new series of animal hospital with the BBC.

Video where Morrissey talks about Billie hating him

Another pointless interlude in a show. 'The Goodies' were loved by almost the entire British population, something which Morrissey will never be able to say. They were comedians, he is just a silly clown. The fact it still rankles him enough to mention it is odd given his 'Viva Hate' nostrums. And why does he mention that Oddie is 'short'? Why is that relevant? He also notes that Bill Oddie loves women's breasts but given Morrissey wrote an inane ditty called 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others' when he was posing as non-somdomite, one has to wonder why he regards this as important.

I guess it's just resentment that 'The Goodies' remain an adored British comedic institution whilst Morrissey is now just a laughing stock. "The Goodies Still Rule! OK?"

Picture poor misery Morrissey in the 70s, pretending it was all shit whilst the rest of us were LOLing along with 'The Goodies'. More fool him for missing it all and then realising they are now the height of hip. It's taken a while for them to be revised but nobody with a brain now doubts they were cutting-edge. However, unlike Morrissey, they are not bitter. And neither should Morrissey be, as his late career re-invention as a stand-up joker is hilarious. Almost as funny as Madonna's implosion, but not quite. She's doing stand-up too. Perhaps she can do a routine with Morrissey at the Palladium. For the Queen's next birthday..

'We're not remotely bitter'

Overlooked by the BBC and overshadowed by the Pythons, the Goodies' comic legacy has been unjustifiably neglected. But, they tell Brian Logan, they're back to set the record straight

Why does Bill hate Moz?

Back in, um, 2006 the BBC TV's Culture Show ran a poll on the UK's "Living Icons". 'Celebrities' argued for their preferred 'icon'. Oddie, it seems, rather than argue for David Attenborough preferred to slag off Morrissey and say that he hates him. I don't know why, Oddie hates Morrissey. I don't know whether his depression is linked to his stated hatred of Morrissey. There may be no link.

The reason for Morrissey mentioning that Oddie hates him is that he thinks it gives strength to his arguments against hunting: "Even the people who hate me agree with me on this" is what he's saying (of course). Attenborough came top of the poll and Morrissey ranked second if memory serves me well.

My comment to your 2nd sentence. I've never heard of Bill Oddie or The Goodies, so there. They might have been popular in the UK, but that's about it.
