It is now that for sure, but after everything I have read here the most likely reason for this is that Sam has somehow been given the green light to make these superfluous posts to the TTY site. As is Moz' modus opererandi, he prefers to designate others to handle the real world hands on work. Singing from the stage, typing on the keyboard, off-handed foreign interview comments are all we can expect from him. The thought of Moz actually taking the time and spending the effort necessary to do what you describe above would be..to say the least...mind blowing.
To be fair, recently due to touring he hasn't had much time to coordinate such an effort, but your point is well taken. It is his history and his life to celebrate and given his proclivity to focus on self it would follow that he would make time to promote his accomplishments. As for the fans, a quick autograph, a wry smile and a hand shake from the stage is really all he has ever given us and what we have grown to expect, and frankly do we deserve more?
