Google translation:

Steven Patrick Morrissey (56) said that his existence has not changed one iota. "My life has not changed at all," reaffirms the British. But reality says otherwise. Since 2013, the singer has faced some of the most lapidary health diagnoses his career, Barrett's esophagus, a bleeding ulcer, the threat of cancerous tissues and even double pneumonia, which has forced him to cancel almost fifty concerts has established among its followers fear for a possible drawdown of the artistic life.

But the singer, in conversation with La Tercera, away suspicions and says recent trips are almost part of your routine, "Yes, I lost a lot of hair due to some medicines, but I've never been a calm and stable life, so I expected a pace and pass the bill. My life has always been chaotic and travel a lot, step from hotel to hotel. Peace? I have no idea what or where is ".

It was precisely two years ago when former The Smiths woke one of the first troubling alerts about his fitness after suffering a serious food poisoning in Lima that led him to cancel a tour that included the unreleased batch of seven shows in Chile, with dates in Puerto Montt and Rancagua, and a free concert at Movistar Arena.

As a consolation, the singer returns this month with two stops on Wednesday 11 at the premises of O'Higgins Park and Saturday 14 headlining the festival Primavera Fauna Movistar (Puntoticket). "These are special shows, because they are in Chile. And that's enough for me. I always remember my performances there as very exciting and happy. And once you go to these concerts, they'll stop thinking and talking a lot about them. "

What happened in that chapter in Lima that left turn their Chilean fans?

I ate a plate of pasta with tomatoes and was under close medical supervision for ten days. It was terrible. I had to lay in the bathroom of pain and being in that situation, screaming. I could not understand what was happening to my body. Those who were with me were terribly frightened.

How was your recovery?

Today I feel pretty good and I have stopped thinking about cancer. We all have a cancer within us and, of course, is just a matter of whether or not you choose to attack us.

You have not thought to slow down the road?

I do not feel tired of shows, because they get better and better. Is travel, the air conditioning and the strange food that you attacks the nervous system. Our systems were not meant to be persistently exposed to different environments as dangerous.

Have you thought more often about the concept of death?

Do not.

You have no problem talking about his health and issues such as depression or sexuality. Do you think in that honesty, atypical pop figures, strong ties with their fans be explained?

I'm not one to say that. I am a very open person, which makes it interesting for some people, and in turn, dangerous to others. For example, in British culture, people and not even thinking. And I think that pop stars are gone. What we do have are the marketing star. Today it is impossible for a band comes surprisingly low profile in the rankings. All this success is bought and controlled brands. The result is prevailing mental castration.

Is that why you prefer working with artists of the past like Tom Jones or Nancy Sinatra?

Well, at least they have always followed the same line and have shown that they are very good.

In Chile he will sing at a festival. How did require what is sold is only vegetarian?

That was when I knew and loved that they had agreed. Animals need our help urgently. They need justice and want to live their own life. They are killed because they can not speak our language. Eating meat is a form of racism.

There are artists who require other things like not record with cellular or non selfies walk with sticks. Do you mind that?

It does not bother me. If people come to my show, then that night belongs to them.

Apart from his solo classics and a handful of songs from The Smiths, Morrissey devotes ample space to show their latest album, world peace is none of your business (2014), another solid collection of songs, in contrast, It was removed from iTunes and Spotify due to break with his label, Capitol / Harvest Records.

"I think today World peace is ... is heard by a new audience, which gives a new meaning, which has increased me a feeling of excitement, because it is people who hear music in 2015, therefore wants to be treated with understanding. We are tired of TV talent scout mentality, which insults us tremendously and has destroyed the music charts, "he analyzes.

How has it changed your way of writing about 90 albums?

This time I was very encouraged by the Arab Spring and the way the people were confronting the corrupt governments. Internet has changed the moral climate in the world and that's very good. We are no longer willing to pursue a life in chains. Why should I be? Moreover, this album is much better than I have done previously. A song like Smiler with knife is so meaningful to me that I can not even sing.

You applauds the contribution of the Internet, but their last album is not on many platforms.

I do not know much about it. I feel that rankings became ridiculous when downloading music was accepted. That should not be classified as sales, because people want to own a piece of art, which could be a CD or a vinyl. Major labels were those who wanted to get rid of the physical to save money and space. Usually all drastic changes are made by the seals.

His latest album has several political overtones. Do you have any opinion on the crisis of immigrants in Europe?

At this point, I think nobody takes care of anyone. Security does not exist. But I understand the position of migrants, because they are telling the world that they are opposed to staying undaunted by the rest of their lives, while White Trash jet set still driving the planet. Global poverty has been specifically designed, not an accident. That's what migrants are saying: we want what you have.

In recent MTV awards, Kanye West promised to run for US president Do you think that could be a solution to govern a country musician?

Of course I did not see this award. Today it does not matter who runs for office. On the other hand I do not think that politicians are superior beings, unlike all its language and its system is outdated. Actually, I'm burning with impatience because new people arrive.

Kanye Could be better than Obama?

Barack Obama was never good; there was simply no other choice.

People who are not interested in politics, they may be interested in football. Did you know that one of the main equipment of the city, Manchester, is run by a Chilean?

I never follow football. Round and round are given and have never come to anything.

man google translate is terrible. i did agree with him about the phones at shows as some people are just so old fashioned about it. dont agree about obama but i barely agree on that subject with many americans who voted here so i dont expect him to know to much about the subject. nice to see an interview none the less

Better a chaotic life than a pointless existence, kidding yourself you are something you aren't. You're on stage Moz, admired by many. Some here have no life but being on the peripheral of life and commenting negatively on a 2 bob site lol. Keep going!

The irony. The supreme irony. Nice to have you on board.

He was an honest mood during this interview, which was good for a change. I don't like how he is "coached" now by The Morrissey Marketing Group LTD-Malibu, Sherman Oaks for all his generic interview responses. In the past he would of ripped apart Kanyay West or whatever his name is and if he became president of the US, I would move to Born Mouth, become a kickball fan, and wear a VANS hoody and New York Yankees Baseball cap everyday. I liked this response, so everyone will stop associating him with kickball and that he supports kickball teams:

"I never follow football. Round and round are given and have never come to anything."

still recuperating from the bad pasta and tomato plate in lima. he is still not well and the medication has made him fat and bald.
LOL
so thats the reason. its not really like hes fat and bald. no doubt he feels the bots will eat up any nonsense he dishes out.

I'll know the true meaning of irony when I accept I am a hated ( amongst my dumb neighbors/pub mates) nobody, living in a poor area, lol. Oh, and kidding myself I have a brain when in fact everyone sees that I am a sad loser hating on the Thomas Hardy of our time. Keep lovin ya life fatty.

The phones get old fast. I'm aware that everyone wants a souvenir, and portable camera/video is an easy way to get one. It's the amateur Orson Welles in the audience who show disrespect to those around them simply trying to enjoy and live in the moment that irritate me. Snap a few pictures, or a song, then give it a rest. Concerts have always been voyeur meets exhibitionist, but too many people are distracted throughout, and can the music really touch them in that state?

I prefer those transcendental moments where my eyes close, and the music takes me elsewhere for a while.

It seems to be that a new generation and some not that young are moving in. A form of 'human' species that can not experience reality in real time in 3 dimensional space. They could only experience it second hand to posses(some dead thing to own) in 2-D on a screen. Flat/DEAD.

WELCOME TO THE NEW NOT SO BRAVE WORLD folks.

Call me old-fashioned, but I physically go the record store (not too many in my town) to purchase all Morrissey's CDs. I don't download, I don't twitter, follow or Instagram. I don't even own mobile phone. To me these gadgets are here to pollute our brains and planet, not to mention, to strip us of our most valuable possession - our privacy. By the way, I am not a senior. I am in my early forties.

I often wonder if Asperger's syndrome is mostly man made as a result of media fixation/indoctrination from an early age, or simply a new phase in evolution.
The melding of man and machine until the day comes when the organic and inorganic are married seamlessly. When that happens, will art be necessary?

Don't know about the 'Asperger's' tag. But 'evolution' yes... another form of 'losing our tails' man/machine,etc.

generational indoctrination... Some call it 'progress'. Though I'm sure some complained with the invention of the wheel!

Well, if the human heart could/will be faded out ?... then 'art' may go the way of the Dodo.

very complicated though. What is art? where does it come from? Do we need it? etc.

Yes agree, thumbing through the dusty record bins, etc.Luddite myself... here... Though enjoy some of the perks of this 'technological revolution'.

Early forties ?! ...That's OLD!... in the eyes of an embryo. ;)

He sounded happy! Yea!

agreed.

from what ive been lead to believe aspergers has been around for a while and is not the result of interaction with technology, or modern technology even. it can be seen as a mal adaptive or advantageous depending on a number of factors at the time. with me i just use what is convenient for me in regards to tech as im very pragmatic at times. i .e i have a smart phone with internet connection and use the camera function all the time but dont do any social media or have an e-mail. that said i also spend very little time thinking about what others have or do unless necessary for some reason. why would i as it doesnt effect me any more so than people wearing bright neon colors.

in terms of the very out there thought that art would not be necessary if man melded seamlessly with machine, that just seems odd. people decide what art is so maybe an enhancement would only lead to an expansion of artistic form and perhaps renewed love of art already in existence. people are already biological machines so i see little difference.

as to the person in the early forties i would say this is to old to be of the generation fully integrated to modern tech as i know it and i say that as a thirty five year old man who also considers himself to be a generation to old. my issue isnt what tech people are using but rather why people care so much about what others are doing. itws not that big a deal and it effects me pretty minimally

Someone here needs to ask his wife is she is fulfilled by him!! Before Moz gets cited in a divorce case. Things ain't what they seem.
