@Tim_Burgess (The Charlatans) says there is a deal at O Genesis for Morrissey

Good luck Tim your going to need it, this bloke is as mad as a box of frogs.

Steve Barnett
Chief Executive Harvest Records.

I fear the new album is just as good as "World Peace Is None Of Your Business"!

He was an absolute nightmare for us when we tried to release Kerrygold with him. The trouble is he believes we are still in the seventies, whatever you do don't mention Twitter,Facebook, I-pads or multi media promotion because he just doesn't get it. We had to pull Kerrygold in the end.

Steffan Barney
Chief Executive BBC c***ryfile Records

Morrissey, if you read this...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CALL TIM. Thanks! ☺

Twitter is not the way to reach Morrissey, Tim. You need to make a music video on youtube with your message set to his music to grab his attention.

what would they offer him if he did as they dont seem to have a lot of funds for promotion or distribution. if he pays the recording costs what would they label offer except to put there stamp on his album. i dont know of any of his acts and thats a problem if thats an example of there promotional reach

I didn't think Tim was still alive. Thanks for cancelling at the Casbah in 1989 you wacker.

What's next? Johnny Lydon is going to offer him a record deal? This is such a joke. EVERYBODY knows Morrissey only communicates by fax. At least that's what James O'Brien said.

its probably email these days like everyone else as who uses fax machines in 2015

moz wants a RECORD LABEL.
some wanker with 10 shillings in his trousers does not make a record label.

label must be willing to underwrite a months stay in a 5 star pestana hotel while album is being recorded. that is non negotiable.
band members willing to live in campers but moz needs his pestana hotel time.
he will not be rushed in making the record. a month.
label must also provide an assortment of plastic shoes at no charge.

Morrissey is a living example of how to lose friends and isolate people. I fear his best chance of a record deal is in the next world with Tony Wilson...

P.S. My ouija board talked to me and Tony said the next album should be called "Steven"...

Be careful what you wish for. If they did sign Morrissey within a few weeks the relationship would sour, he'd be slagging off Tim Burgess in the press, and the band would all be wearing 'f*** O Genesis Records' T-shirts.

I think the 'F*** Harvest' t-shirts were a bad idea. Even a record label willing to bend over backwards for Moz would probably only expect to get one or maximum two albums from him before some bust-up happens. After the Harvest debacle Moz should have stayed quiet as he had nothing to gain by talking about it. But hopefully Moz will get a deal and we can look forward to another album. I wish 'World Peace' had received more of a chance. It must be soul-destroying to see your new album discontinued so fast.

again though what would tim offer him in the deal that would be beneficial to him. i cant think of anything. its not a knock on his business, its just practicality. can anyone answer this question

pay for the studio i guess. maybe a couple of promotional email blasts.

what else would he want? 25000 units sold barely covers the studio costs.
