Morrissey has taken extraordinary action against the owner of a fan website by banning him for life from the singer's concerts.

The former The Smiths frontman declared war on Morrissey-solo.com after owner David Tseng refused to prevent members from discussing the star's private life or criticizing his career moves.

The singer stepped up his campaign against the forum last month by taking to the stage during a show in England wearing a T-shirt printed with the words: "F**k Morrissey-solo.com".

Tseng was shocked when Morrissey's security guards ejected him from a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark on Monday - and now it's emerged the Suedehead hitmaker has banned Tseng from all of his gigs because of his "poisonous" website.

A spokeswoman for the Morrissey tour tells WENN, "Mr Tseng via his poisonous website has caused so much intentional distress to Morrissey and Morrissey's band over the years that Mr Tseng is not welcome at any Morrissey shows."

It is Morrissey's choice - and he can ban David if he wishes - he's secretly hoping this will result in David shutting down so-low. I hope David continues running this site WITHOUT ANY MODERATION simply to spite Mozza, if nothing else.

And it is David's choice is he wishes to sue Morrissey. I hope he does sue hyim for his financial losses and I would be willing to fund David's legal action out of my large savings pot. David, do contact me if you wish to find yourself a legal eagle of your own.

Morrissey being Morrissey, he would, of course, contest the legal action and end up face to face with David in a court somewhere.

In court, Morrissey would be forced to hand over £1k or so. I would merrily pay £100k to see it.

David, I would like to hear your thoughts on whether you will seek a refund and whether you would consider legal action?

      Has any refund been obtained?

The reason why morrissey did this.

I believe it's because of the constant and fierce criticism of Jesse (which in my view is justified).

Morrissey is showing misplaced loyalty towards the guitarist who is wrecking his recording career.

Oh poor Jesse... how will he cope with being told he is a pile of steaming cowpat?

My suggestion - boo Jesse at every concert!!! I know it's been happening already, but do it louder. Perhaps Morrissey will get the message that it's the majority - not a small online minority - who can't stand Jesse's drudgery. I've heard guitar shop techs with more creativity than Jesse.

It's a shame the man doesn't have a record company anymore. If he had, its market researchers might be able to tell him what happens to pre-order numbers every time David's site announces a new release.

The irony is that Morrissey himself has often been the target of censorship and criticism in the past - and he has responded angrily. For example, a lot of people wanted him banned from the BBC in the early 80s because of his ambiguous lyrics in regard of Mindley and the Moors and other rather salacious content in his first Smiths record. If the majority took the same illiberal view in 1983 that Mozza takes today, he'd have been banned from our living rooms!

It's so hypocritical on so many levels. The man who has railed against persecution persecutes a fan. The man who lashes out against other musicians and singers cannot handle online criticism by his fans. The man who moaned about being stopped and searched under terrorist legislation has his own fans frisked for meat. The man who wrote, "it's so easy to laugh, it's so easy to hate, it takes guts to be gentle and kind" bans a lifelong and committed Morrissey fan for life simply for running a Morrissey website with freedom of speech. Most hilarious of all, the man who derides the Queen as a fascist "like Mubarak and Gaddafi" behaves himself like a mini fascist dictator!

Doesn't Morrissey have any insight into his own behaviour?

This was probably just a stunt by Morrissey to take the focus off the fact his new best friend Joey Barton was denied entry to the USA yesterday LOL!! If there's any justice guilty by association Morrissey will be denied entry too. What I'd like to see is him kick all the carnivores out. I suspect a dozen of us would be left at the venue after they'd leave; along with the band members and security personnel! Surely there's enough Vegetarians on the planet that he doesn't have to employ pretend ones!!!

Alain's songs get better and better. It must hurt him that Mozza prefers Jesse's bald dirges and his flabby playing.

...Yet it's absolutely fine and dandy for this site to persist in bullying Morrissey and his band? The hypocrisy is simply breathtaking.

Face it everyone: Morrissey's career will continue and his legacy will exist in perpetuity because of the classic songs he wrote and his peerless live shows... What will be the legacy of this woeful site? Nothing. It is finished and will be forgotten.

A stunningly naive and wholly inaccurate assessment of the legality of the situation. All tickets contain small print with words to the effect that the management or artist can refuse admittance without having to offer reasons or refund. Purchasing your tickets is legal acceptance of these terms and conditions.

I'd like to see you and David Twat sue Morrissey too because the spectacle of a couple of arch wankers wasting even more money and being laughed out of court would be delightful. How sad, impotent and deluded some people are.

Is it actually legal to ban someone (i.e. a law-abiding citizen) from a public event?

You really are deluded. Who on this site 'bullies' Morrissey? Most of us adore him. But that doesn't mean we mindlessly accept his more extreme manifestations of narcissistic self-love and projection. The band? Jesse's c*%&. This isn't bullying. It's stating a fact. What Moz did to David IS bullying - the strong picking on the weak. Therein lies the difference.

I know some of you are not very emotionally mature or sophisticated individuals, but to see the entire world through Morrissey's black-and-white us-and-them filter is an exercise in futility.

This site will prosper as Morrissey drags his career into the gutter. We will continue being fans of the great stuff he gave us, while he takes his cabaret act and session musicians to increasingly small/empty venues.

You buy your ticket and in doing so you accept the terms and conditions in the small print. Moz was in the right (legally) and all the whining in the world won't change that.

Oh dear. Not you again. I'll humour you with a brief reply.

Yes it is legally permissable to refuse admission, or to eject somebody from a private event. But the victim can still sue for damages in a civil case. The holiday would have cost David at least a grand, possibly more. My suspicion is that Tseng might not win the full cost back but he would definitely get his ticket price back and possibly some compensation. That would be a moral victory at least.

If David could demonstrate Morrissey knowingly permitted him to buy a ticket with the intention of ejecting him from the gig, he would win the entire grand back, and possibly more for distress caused. That would amount to a form of fraud.

I wouldn't rule out that possibility, knowing old Mozza.

Can we get Morrissey sectioned? Not only has his music been turgid for the last few years, but he appears to be losing the plot rather rapidly.
