I think pre-orders contribute to an item's ranking.

Also.....gothic romance? :lbf:

Morrissey has always been a goth at heart - a lifer for sure (I think it was his hair that initially threw people off the scent).

If his next career move is gothic fiction (with narration please), he should do very well indeed.

Sure the book is so short I'd say the running time on the audiobook will be approx. 2 hours, tea break included.

Amazon Bestsellers Rank: 186 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)
#1 in Books > Fiction > Romance > Gothic
#39 in Books > Fiction > Literary Fiction
#103 in Books > Fiction > Romance > Contemporary

It'll be interesting to track these figures over the next while, particularly it's ranking for 'Literary Fiction'. It might just us some sense of the general anticipation or lack thereof for the novel.

His speaking voice is just as lovely and soothing as his singing voice. I wish he would re-release Autobiography as the reader and read List of the Lost, too.

The reader on the audio book is going to be Christopher Biggins.

Biggins ? Is he a humasexual or just a gay ?

It'd be great if David Morrissey did it again.

If it's set in the USA, we really need a Yank actor to read it. They can also add a few 'yee-haw!'s and fire off their gun at appropriate dramatic moments, to add to the authentic mood of Americana.

In addition to the "gothic romance" classification discussed upthread, Amazon Japan includes List of the Lost in the "Coming of Age" and "Fantasy, Futuristic & Ghosts" categories. Link.

This book keeps getting more intriguing.
