The 'Rose Garden' cover... priceless. Thanks for sharing.

I thought that the set list was pretty weak. It's been a few years since I had seen him. This was the first time I have seen him out of California. Maybe it didn't help that I didn't feel the crowd was really into and the house was like 3/4 full.

He's become really political it seems like, I mean more than normal. Also he didn't really talk to the crowd as much as he useless does.

Was still good to see him again just felt like the concert was pretty weak.

Morrissey opens up with Rose Garden as a tip to his Blue Rose Society - which he himself formed as a mirrored tribute to Oscar Wilde's Green Carnation - but will anyone other than the DDD (Dreary Deluded Dozen) see it for what it is, or will it instead be seen as a tip to Tammy?
Only those with an open heart, an open mind and opened eyes will ever truly see.

A spectacular show. Moz was really on. Set-list (see above) was great. I really enjoyed it.

You're full of shit and your obsession with everything being oriented toward only you is tiresome. You will twist anything around to make it only matter to be about you and your ego.Get over yourself. You're a lying sack in the first place.

thanks for the 1 song in the setlist, it's a unique moment in Morrissey touring past, same as 'nothing Rhymed' in Ireland gig, but this a totally unespected and wonderfull

thanks lots lots lots docinwestchester

No, he covered that song because he's in Nashville and it's a Country classic. Just like he covered Simon Smith And His Amazing Dancing Bear in Sunderland a few years back.

Go f*** yourself

Go f*** yourself

Tell me Peter (or anyone) I have a vague understanding of this Blue Rose nonsense but I don't quite get the animosity. It seems as though many regulars here really dislike the Blue Rose folks. Clearly they are deluded but where did the animosity spring from? This is the lot that claims that Morrissey is in direct contact with them? Or something similar? Did they claim it was him writing that blog? I have always wondered a little bit about it but have never really looked into it. I suspect the choice of opening song will send them off again. I guess Kewpie will probably post a link.

I beg your pardon I never promised you a meat free Madison Square Garden
Along with the sunshine there's gotta be a little Sushi sometime
When your NOT ANIMAL FRIENDLY live and let live and let go oh oh oh oh
I beg your pardon I never promised you a meat free Madison Square Garden

I could promise you things like big MEAT FREE GIGS
But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover
So you better think it over
Well, if sweet talking you could make it come true
I would give you the world right now on a silver platter
But what would it matter
So smile for a while and let's be jolly MEAT IS MURDER doesn't mean CHEESE MELANCHOLY
Come along and share the good times while we can

I BEG YOUR PARDON
I NEVER PROMISED YOU A MEAT FREE MADISIN SQUARE GARDEN !

M ! S ! G ! Murder !

F ! Y ! F ! Fest ! Murder !

MAU ! RE ! C ! Is Murder !

AND THATS HOW HE MAKES HIS MONEY !

It's not natural, normal or kind
he thinks thirty three years eating cheese is fine
The curds in his mouth as he savours the flavour of MURDER ! ! ! ! !

He doesn't care ! He doesn't care ! He doesn't care !

I think that's really sweet keeping in mind that the concert had to be postponed.

Thank you for capturing this moment. That was beautiful. I love when he goes off script. He understands his audience and how to set the tone for the show. Who gives a better live performance than Morrissey ?
