Amazing show!!

Moz was in great spirits and very chatty.

Dedicated "Kiss Me Alot" to Doris Day, who was born in cincy
Right before MIM he mentioned how Cincy used to be the pork capitol of the US.
Introduced Boz as being from the Horseshoe casino
Couple failed "Huggers". His new security is on it big time.
Small stage invasion during encore with one guy getting a hug and the rest getting pummeled(especially some poor girl)

Sadly no shirt toss, but I did get a pick :)

He dropped "Neal Cassady Drops Dead" from the Akron set list. Amazing what that small change made to the pace of the show. Honestly, I was glad to see the change but not thrilled to have one less song in the list.

seems that camp Moz reads about his gigs here, several times people mentioned that 'Neal' or kick the Bride' were a point of less enthiousiasm.

Thanks for the pics, and the soundclip :thumb:

'and they say he's mental...sick of the tropical weather, and it just began, get at leat 5 tropical ahead...

He sounded and looked so great tonight. Really just so fresh and full of energy.

The new Moz!! Such a superb payback for the cancellations from last tour!

In the Netherlands we had to suffer through "Bride" & "Not a Man" & "Blind" & "Trouble" and so on. One big bland, slouching potpourri.

So praise the Baby Jesus for this setlist! It's quite an improvement.

I forgot to add "Mama lay softly on the riverbed" was played as well. I can't quite remember when though.

I believe it was after Istanbul, pretty sure actually.

Morrissey was full of energy tonight in Cincinnati, and displayed his wit for the Porkopolis crowd. (He later commented on Cincinnati once being known as "the Pork city, which just goes to show the past is full of shit", before launching into Meat is Murder.)

He started off Suedehead by growling, “There’s gonna be a showdown!”

Later, he said that wanted to thank the city of Cincinnati, and was cut off by an eruption of applause before he could finish his statement of gratitude. Just my opinion, but I think the fevered applauders, high on ideology and the recent Supreme Court decision, anticipated Moz to say ‘thank you’ for the city’s support of gay marriage. Never the predictable one, Morrissey scolded the applauders with, “You don’t even KNOW what I’m going to say!” He then went on to thank Cincinnati for giving the world Doris Day (who is now, according to Morrissey, “162 years old, but probably isn’t at the concert”).

Later, Morrissey introduced the band members as:
• Gustavo Manzur, from Austin, Texas
• Jesse Tobias, from Austin, Texas
• Matt Walker, from Austin, Texas
• Mando Lopez, from Mexico (“Mehico”)
• Boz Boorer, from the Horseshoe Casino

There were several stage invaders; however, the eagle-eyed security men preempted all but one who made it to a Morrisseyhug.

Good vibes and strong singing tonight (only one sneeze from Moz). Here is the performance of Suedehead, one of several videos I hope to upload:

Really? You "suffered" through Trouble Loves Me? I'd rather have the last three than Ganglord, Istanbul, World Peace Is None Of Your Business, Meat is Murder and What She Said.

It's all a matter of personal taste.

Disgraceful! Last time he came to town in 1994 he walked off after 27 minutes at the Taft theatre and left everyone angry. I wish it was sooner this time. In case you didn't notice the flags at half staff when you strolled into town Morrissey the video in Ganglords of Police Brutality was utterly inappropriate. Less than a week ago the entire city lined the streets to pay homage to a fallen police officer Sonny Kim who slaughtered as a Suicide by cop incident. The complete opposite of what you were showing. Instead of spending months digging up clips of police brutality of them beating up people in wheel chairs how about spending 1 weeks scouring the internet of them getting shot up by your "Innocent" citizens. You went to way to far and I am no longer going to another show and retiring my concerts shirts. No one was happy in the section I was standing in and the show never recovered. Little applause after that. Most of the people I was around and including myself just returned from U2 in Chicago where they talk about helping the world and ending sickness and hunger that makes you feel good and you preach hatred for the world? By the way you have figured out you are too old to take your shirt off anymore and get a new program. Meat is Murder with the video you did last tour and are still running it. Saw it Columbus. Red lights, gong etc. Got it! Move on. Changing the video to a 3rd world countries slaughterhouse manners is not my problem and won't change me. "Thats my excuse." Funny my human verification for spam on this website was FISH TACOS? So long, its been fun as a fan until now. GoodNight and Thank You.

You do know that this is a post on a "fan side", do you? Because it sounds as if you've just send a personal message to Moz' private email adress. Strange people around here sometimes ...

Wonder if it is at all possible that he did not remove his shirt this show due to the "arm band" he was sporting in Akron? Last time we saw that was at the Hollywood High show and it was his IV pic line. Dehydration or sickness settling in?

That's quite interesting since, he didn't tour in 1994?? Anyways, I assume you are talking about 1997, and he didn't "walk off" at that show; he played an encore which was Shoplifters. he also played a 15 song set, just over an hour, which was standard for him on that entire tour. Maybe you should get your facts right before whining, especial if you claim to have been there. And then you have to go ahead and mention U2, which just made me stop reading the rest of your post anyways, ZzzzzzZZZzz.

Yeah but we all know he reads the reviews of his tour on this website.

:( I never noticed that at the Hollywood High show. How do we know that it was his IV pic line? Has someone a photo where you can see it?

Surely 'suffer' is too strong a word. I like that he plays the songs he wants to play instead of a greatest hits every time.
Personally I like the songs you mentioned above and would be thrilled to see/hear them played.

He played Neal Cassady in Akron. I was there. He muffed up the rap but otherwise it was fine.
