An email interview for Alternative Nation? Really? I'm not on Twitter. Please, anybody who is, urge this person to only send him INTERESTING AND NEW questions.

Are all interviews with morrissey conducted via email? I mean these days

A quick answer without any morrissey bashing would be appreciated. I need the information for a project im working on.

Virtually all interviews are by email these days. I am pretty sure this is a result of the whole 'racist' allegations over that NME interview a few years back, where he accused them of editing/misrepresenting his answers.
This way he has a back up.

He did one via video, in person, in 2014, and there was that short "interview" he did for the hotel (filmed in what appeared to be a church) during the European leg of the WPINOYB tour.

I do suppose he tries to be very careful and email is a good way to have a backup in print to prove you either did or did not say a particular thing.

Perhaps it would be a decent interview question to ask via Twitter? I'm not on there so I can't participate. Eager to see if new and actually INTERESTING questions get asked (let alone answered...since he has such a brilliant way of eschewing answers with wit and vague remarks).

yeah I always thought he should just use chat room platforms as people could one be special invited guests and observe an actual interview (has anyone done this yet). that way he can get a good back and forth with questions naturally leading into conversation but still have a written transcript and hell even witnesses if it came to that.

Thanks for the reply, i would have never known that the interview was conducted in 2014. It seemed 2004ish. The inteviewer could have asked better questions unfortunetly since it was an rare occasion. But then again i could not have done a better job. Morrissey is the best of the best. He is full of wit and will outshine your questions with his answers. He has a incapacitating effect on people hypnotizing really. He would have made the most arrogant, confident and intelligent person into a blubbering fool. He is a highly seductive person. I look forward to interview. I'm going to study it carefully. Well im off to keep on working.

That interview is at about 10 years old. It is not from 2014.
 
I hope they ask him how he feels about the Royal Family. Or Mike Joyce.

Okey i thought so. I was a bit confused since i saw it attached on Eurydice post and thought that it was the interview she was the hotel interview she was refering to. But i thought it seemed strange since i had see the hotel interview and it seemed more professional and commercial.

But the general consensice is that he only does email interviews nowadays. I'm doing a project about Morrissey from the begining of his life to now. I needed that info, i'm sort of "mapping" him

PS don't worry its not another bio or wiki-like book about him. Its purely for my portfolio

I didn't think he would grant an interview even through e mail to someone who says "ya'll".

I think she is the heiress to the Duca Parmesan cheese empire, so that may explain it. I think her and Julia have their trust funds at the same bank.

I remember a man who met him earlier his year said he's hard of hearing. He did have a tendency of leaning in to listen to interviewers and combined with the incidents of him storming off stage after mishearing something leads me to believe this is why he doesn't do face to face interviews and is generally staying away from people now.
