wow two opening acts. don't think ive seen that for a long long time now

Does these opening acts mean that morrissey is warming up to modren music. Or did someone say "morrissey baby you gots to get with the time" and booked all these acts

I would imagine all this is to say tickets are not selling well to this show.

I'm laughing at the fact that Morrissey once said that modern music is dead. He has either done a 180 on his views, which sounds absurd or there is a publicist or manager like person that suggested these

Moz should hire whoever directed/animated The Elected's video for "Go For The Throat" to do up something similar for "Kick the Bride Down the Aisle"

nice. haven't heard them so thanks for the link. very sixties in the vocals with all of the layering and they sound alright.

don't know if I agree that the video would work for moz though it was nice as I like animation a lot. heres a video sorta along similar lines by the format. this albums is one of my favs and a real surprise in the lyrics to me

the format - dog problems

made with hand puppets and shadow puppet modern and old fashioned at the same time with elements of big marching bands but very pop in structure and vocal. its very unique and pop at the same time and really close to musical genius in the way he puts it all together. check it out if you like videos such as the pone you posted. I could almost see moz singing this

What the f*** are you talking about? Is it possible for you to get your facts right before you post such rubbish? He had always "modern" acts, if you want to call them that way, as support (The Killers, The Libertines, John Butler Trio, The Dead 60s, PJ Harvey ...) or on the same bill and mixed it here and there with some of his heroes (Iggy, Patty, Lou, Sparks, New York Dolls, Tom Jones, Buffy Saint-Marie ...). Of course he will always like "old" music more but even he knows that he can't constantly force some 80 year old people on his audience and many of them don't live anymore, anyway. I'm sure he would get Charles Aznavour with him on the road, for example, but he is over 90.

I agree that the style of that video would seem pretty foreign paired up with Morrissey's music but after loaning out his music to PETA for that animated chicken video and with the recent KMA video debacle I'm not sure anything is off the table. :)

But that page has nowt to do with Moz, as he keeps telling us. How very odd.

And he also kept telling us that MorrisseysWorld was nothing to do with him and that he doesn't use Twitter! When oh when will the eyes open and the aroma of coffee reach the nostrils?

I'm talking about what Morrissey said in the nineties. Damon albarn even went into music to prove Morrissey statment wrong. Also the post was about the fact of how it absurd that statment was (with a touch of sarcasm), when he clearly can like modern music and has showed it several times over. Read my post correctly you ass. Jesus people like you give me a damn brain hemorrage. Do you know that Morrissey has made statments before the 2000s!

I definitely read your post correctely. And by the way, Moz said that "POP MUSIC is dead". So much for "getting facts right."

I love The Elected (and Rilo Kiley). Their first two albums are beautiful. Check them out.

If he could just throw some Twin Shadow and Phantogram on the bill, I'll be right over from Europe for this show.
