18:46, 28 March 2015 By Catherine Lillington

Bennyboy Scott said attackers stamped on his guitar leaving it in pieces on Friday night (March 27)

Excerpt:

Bennyboy Scott told how one of the attackers stamped on his guitar leaving it in pieces on Friday night.

He said Morrissey fans rushed to help him and together they got two of his attackers arrested.

“I was busking and one of the attackers stamped on my guitar and smashed it to bits,” he said.

“There were plenty of Morrissey fans helping and we managed to restrain two of them and got them arrested.

“I still have the remains of my guitar.”

Fake.

I think the arrested were 2 chaps called Boz and Jessie and were upset at the buskers' talent

I was there. I saw the guy sat near the venue playing 'This Charming Man'. So this must have happened (trusting it did happen) after half 10 pm

I also saw him outside the Malt House prior to the gig.
The Birmingham Mail are hard pressed to mention Moz other than if playing in Brum, so I pretty sure something occured.

exiting audience, frustrated by the concert, apparently took out their frustrations on the poor lad.

Yes, he was playing on the benches by the canal towpath outside the Malt House. What kind of pond life would do something like this to someone? I'm glad that people reacted in his defence. Good work.
