Morrissey interview in Blic (Serbian)

That's really beautiful what he said about Jake, but he's still in denial he's gay.

Morrissey admits 'I've had less sex than Betjeman' SHOCKER! :brows:

The 'Smits' awesome!

Here we go, every thread turned into a bash-a-thon. It begins with the anonymous twats, everyone else will now join the bandwagon.

For anyone that is interested in the relevant part, the GOOD NEWS is that Morrissey is preparing the new album, and I couldn't see him doing that without some kind of label announcement imminent. I for one celebrate this possibility from my 'cultist' outpost *rollseyes* ;-)

For the new album I would love it if he worked with some "new" to camp song writers.. Morrissey needs to expand creatively, I don't see that happening with Tobias. I love Boz too but the sound is old and just re-hashed over and over with a lil twist here and there. Just my opinion. I just feel like he needs some great song writers in his corner. All in all though I'm really happy he's still recording!

Are you saying Boz isn't camp? Did you not see how good he looks in a dress?

That's not saying much though. Betjeman was married, had two children and a long term mistress. His works replete with references to women he lusted after, most famously Joan Hunter Dunn.

Betjeman was actually something of a gay blade, when that meant something very different from today.

You have recently discovered that you are suffering from cancer. You said: "What's done is done, if I die, I die." Many think it was pretty brave. Do you still the same?
- Well, yes! Because, when you reach a certain age you notice how many men did you lose and it just shows that you and your end is inevitable. When you are older, you realize death in a way that young people can not cope, and to help understanding simply show that you do not have nothing to fear because there is something that is stronger than us, and that is death. And being in her, when she decides.

Any regrets for something?
- Ah, it's inevitable, it's human nature. That death is nothingness is a safe assumption, because we have no evidence of anything else. Life is being sealed. When the poet John Betjeman was dying, they asked him if he regrets for anything, and he said: "Yes, for what I did not have more sex." I definitely had less sex than him.

he should stop talking about lack of sex, marry somebody and even have kids

To hell with all of these translated interviews. They make no sense. And to hell with his evasive answers. I know it's not our business, but come on. Give us a straight answer and/or statement. I don't think he has cancer, because he has never said he does. But still...it would be nice to hear him tell us exactly what's going.

I love that he personified death and made her into a woman. Most associate the Reaper as a man.

That would be nice, but I imagine it's just a translation issue. We don't have masculine and feminine nouns in English, but they probably do in Serbian. Likewise when he says something about 'men' he has lost - probably actually means people generally.

[Sorry to be a killjoy]

Yes, serbian language is similar to russian, in which we have masculine and feminine nouns and adjectives

If had cancer he'd have made a much bigger deal of it. He probably had a couple of moles removed. Routine procedure.
