How was the show? :)

The show was good and he seemed to be in a good mood. The show was halted after one or two
songs because a few guys tried to rush to the front. It was a seated venue and security desperately
tried to limit the number of people in front of the stage (row zero as the were). After this little incident the show continued
without interruptions. Only one encore, no stage invasions. Yet. Wait till tomorrow ;)

Strange, but good to experience that the audience keeps silent for a bit in modern times. Maybe he's still playing?;-)

It was a great evening. A bit tension in the beginning. Show was stopped for a few minutes. Yes I am blind added to The playlist

#Morrissey was wederom fantastisch. The Mozz still rules! Is Barack Obama black?! #Antwerpen

He also administered some comments on the Michael Brown case and condemned the judge for releasing the copper who shot Brown. Thereupon he joked: "Is Obama really black? I don't think so."

Obama has nothing to do with it though. He's not a judge. He didn't sit through 80 hours of testimony to conclude there wasn't enough evidence. EIGHTY HOURS. That's listening NONSTOP to testimony for two solid work weeks with no bathroom breaks. THere were black men and women on the jury, he got a fair trial from what I can tell. One must be careful not to hop on the bandwagon of revolt when the circumstances are tenuous. Worry not your pretty little heads, there will be plenty of fodder to revolt with when the time is right and I guarantee the ghost of Mike Brown will be on the frontline. Right now he's enjoying his vestal virgins so he's winning, yo.

What has he done for you and why would he bother with someone like you?

The president is not an artist you can cheer on no matter what, you must judge the president on what he achieves. I think Morrissey has every right to question is he is black or not but not in reference to the police investigation just generally. You cannot be serious when you describe him as the best ever president because he hasn't achieved anything that cannot be undone by a new president. He will not leave a mark other than being the first black president when the world chose to suddenly forget about his white mother. If the world ever had a ceremonial president then Obama was just that.

I wonder what it feels like to be in Mando's position. It's gotta be really stressful to join a band mid-tour, even if it's temporary (if it is temporary).

How was the show? :)

Whilst Moz das in great vocal form and the band were tight, the show was a bit flat thanks to the all seated venue more suitable to pantomimes and a rather morose audience who didnt appear to know many of the new songs and who only got excited for the encore. No stage invasions or even attempts merely a few handshakes. Overall Moz did his best and summed it up nicely saying that it was grey, wet and drizzly outside "like in here" and mocking the crowds rather feeble attempts to respond to him. Highlights HSIN , Meat, Blind....wish he would drop Scandinavia and Kick the Bride. 7/10 not helped by a terrible audience.

That's not exactly how this works.

This was a grand jury hearing. Testimony was only heard once a week on Wednesday. They did deliberate for a handful of days in a row.

The "trial" as you call it was to determine if it would go to trial. The hearing has 12 jurors but only requires 9 of 12 votes to proceed. It's possible they got a 9-3 vote and the black jurors were the ones that said know. I don't know if the vote has been or will ever be revealed.

What they did release however was the testimony of all witnesses and they had multiple autopsies done by different people and they all concluded the same thing including that his arms were not up when he was shot. They also noted that from the first place he was shot to the place he fell to the ground was 20 feet away. If someone was standing with their arms up and got shot, the blood would all be in one place.. not a trail leading to where the officer was standing.

It's all in the transcript. I'm sure the rioters all read it before reacting.

Morrissey is so ignorant he thinks the Queen has political power, so believing Obama is responsible for the decisions of a Grand Jury is absolutely par for the course. He's an imbecile.

Thanks for correcting me, I've only followed the thing on a cursory level but I know enough to know Obama has nothing to do with it. I also know that encouraging a RACE RIOT is like trying to put out a fire with a can of hair spray. Everyone pushing for this needs to watch the aerial footage of the Rodney King rioting in LA to see the innocent white truck driver pulled from his cab and bludgeoned to death by black men because he was white. It's sickening. It is NOT the way to rise up, imho.

He might've been trying to make some other point and his code talk backfired. I think that happens a lot, actually. He's not dumb.

This is where I get all Republican about anarchy and uprising.

Points taken but it seems even though Moz didnt specify it he was referring to Obama's comments about the violence.
That makes more sense to me anyway.

It's times like this I wish Julia would make her ever-presence useful and record his comments.
