Moz interview with Expresso to be published 4 October

Slightly improved machine translation:

Morrissey in Lisbon: ' Is it that people are going to show up? They may not appear! '

The ex-Smith spoke to Expresso on his return to Portugal and explained why the new album was pulled from stores.

Morrissey returns to Portugal next Monday for a concert at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, and, in an interview with Expresso next Saturday, confessed to his concern: "I wonder if people are going to show up? May not appear! ". The show starts scheduled at 09:00 pm (doors open an hour before) and tickets, on sale in the usual places, cost between 39.00 and 49.00 euros.

The ex-Smith, who has not performed on domestic soil in eight years-having cancelled a concert in Cascais in 2012-recalled, too, in the interview which can be read in full in the current, weekly culture book, his last pass for our country: "you're not going to like what I say, but my only memory is awful. We were in the Harbour and saw a skinned lamb in the window of a restaurant. We were in shock for at least 40 minutes. I think I've never seen anything so horrific. "

Morrissey also explained why World Peace is None of Your Business, the new album was pulled from stores and streaming services shortly after being edited and guarantees that will be available again soon: "when the album was released, I complained to the President of the label about the fact that there have been no promotion, there has been no print advertising or ads on TV but he is so self-absorbed that nobody can say you're wrong. He fired me from the label. However, he did not realize that I had not signed a record deal so the album belongs to me completely ".

For the record, I have my ticket for London, would go to more if I could. I fear for some of the venues...... I really hope not.

Is he expecting to sell out places like Poland? Perhaps these are the only cities he could get insurance for.

We all know what will happen if the ticket sales are poor.

39 euroos,?

here in the north.... Belgium, Netherlands , Germany it's about double, 50 to 70, that's way too mcuch, and may be
the reason the shows are not sold out

Also no PR, Morrissey must be thankfull for this site for advertising, so it comes from vistors to mouth to mouth,
but I guess there never be a half empty place, maybe in Italy, 5 is too much...and has anyone checked how much
tickets their are sold in every city/venue He plays?!

'and they say he's mentall'...with a great opening gig, and setlist, the tickets in the upcoming shows will rise,
though Morrissey's cancel status may be the reason

Ticket sales are a massive worry. None sold out as far as I can see.

I've thought that too. None of his usual "safe bets" (the three dates in Sweden and the one in Denmark) are even close to sold out. A bit worrying indeed.

So damn proud of Morrissey. Baby, how do you find the strength? You never give up. Come back to USA.

He fookin does give up Agatha ! Every tour he throws the towel in what planet or world are living in. And it's all about to be repeated very soon, watch and learn

It's hardly surprising the gigs aren't sold out. This is somebody
who cancels more concerts than he actually performs. Why would people bother to purchase tickets in advance if the performer continually cancels on his commitment? People aren't made of money.

Can't believe people are surprised the tour hasnt sold out. I've gambled on Dublin tickets as I think he'll honour that one.

Both Helsinki dates are sold out!
London has very few left if any...(resellers aside..)

Stockholm's not sold out yet either (though the standing section is) but then they are charging the same for seats high up as they were for standing front of stage!!

Thing is though that they've closed off half of the venue for the Morrissey concert. "To make it more intimate", is the official explanation. That usually means "because ticket sales are poor and if we close down half the place then it won't LOOK as empty".

I've been cancelled on several times but my money has always been refunded, so why would that even be an issue?
