I'm going to pick this up - great video. My VHS copy broke years ago.

I wish live DVDs these days came with a download of the audio tracks. Obviously there are ways do it yourself (or wait for a kind soul to post here), but shouldn't this be standard operating procedure?

Mine is on its way via UPS from BestBuy.com, and also will show up on my iTunes tomorrow. Stoked.

Got my copy today! I have just watched and enjoyed it.

Question: Morrissey got a wound on his right hand. Anyone knows what happened back then?

Nothing, it's make up

That cover is atrocious. He was damn near perfect looking in 1995- they couldn't have used a nicer photo from then?

Just arrived from Amazon today. Great DVD, especially good version of Speedway. Awful cover though.

He's so emotionally invested when he sings Speedway in this performance. Really amazing.

Whats the picture quality like I remember the vhs video being a bit rough.

Anybody have a copy with the alt ending? The original had "Swinging On A Star" LOL! as the outro music as the fans hung on to Morrissey at the end. For a sad reason Moz could not secure the approval and it was ditched and "Will Never Marry" was used. I need to check You Tube as well.

weird then as it doesnt mention will never marry in the dvd tracklisting so i guess they went in another direction again. i dont usually like his concert dvds to much as they are often very rough in quality but so it goes. boxers though, thats super tempting but i think ill pass. theres to much better stuff out there on the net in general and i could make a much more pleasing live video using that. also as was mentioned above the cover is horrible. who chose that? introducing morrissey looking nothing like he usually does at any other given time.

Is that photo a Maladjusted era photo ?

No, it's circa 'Southpaw', when he went with the fake scar make up for a while. It's exactly the same artwork as on the original VHS release, which came out well before 'Maladjusted'.

Might be a dumb ? but does anyone know what the significance was of the “fake scars”? Was it just to play up the whole boxer imagery?

Re: True To You - Introducing Morrissey: DVD released today in the UK and tomorrow in the US - Artwo

Where did the boxer obsession come from? Jake?

There’s a preview of it now on iTunes (about 90 seconds of “Billy Budd”). It looks decent but not as good of quality as 25Live that’s for sure.

He had on chelsea boots?! Never noticed in the YouTube rip because the quality sucked.

OK, I'm sure you're right but 1996 - is not "well before" Mala (1997), and it is after Southpaw (1995)

And of course, When he returned to the stage for the encore Morrissey's parting words were "You've been very gracious Glasgow..." He slightly extended a line in encore "First Of The Gang To Die" to "You have never been in love, you haven't! until you've seen the dawn rise..." As was now tradition, the latter song was done as a medley with Big Dee Irwin's "Swinging On A Star".
