"World Peace..." is #9 in UK record store charts

WPINOYP is #9 in UK record store charts.

Royal Blood top UK Record Store Chart with debut album - Live4ever

Royal Blood have topped this week’s UK Record Store Chart with their self-titled debut album, immediately ahead of other high new entries from Wytches and Dry The River.

Elsewhere, Reading and Leeds headline gigs have been enough to push Arctic Monkeys‘ ‘AM‘ back into the Top 10, while Morrissey‘s ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘ has also jumped several places from last week.

Hmmmmm

If he hadn't shot himself in the foot/brain by spuriously referencing Robin Williams, the word of mouth slow-build would have more momentum. It's fantastic music. Shame the author of the lyrics is a PR Car-Crash intent on inviting Fatwas from Movers'n'Shakers. Still, his life to wreck his own way... Thank Jayzus WPINOYB was actually released and the tantrums/Diva meltdown didn't derail it before it 'hit the streets'.

Lots of rumours about the new spectacular stage-set for the 02. Some say it will be hard for Morrissey to top Kate Bush's 3 Hour Re-Invention of Live Music, but us 'fans' know better. We know 'our Morrissey' is a True Radical Artist and won't just cobble together some fan-made YouTube videos as a back-drop. And he'll remember side screens for those in the nose-bleed seats. At the London 02, there is actually a real danger of a nose-bleed up in The Gods... Still playing WPINOYB though I hate the fcuker...paradox, but I paid my cash so gonna make sure that Morrissey The Consumer Music Bitch-Troll From Hell works that skirt on the turntable, if not doing the lap-dance stuff on stage...

Am I missing something here or did the Robin Williams comment stir up a media backlash? I didn't see anyone pick up on it.
FWIW, i thought it was slightly unpleasant but nothing more.
Morrissey is too old to have been moved by Williams' work. You would need to be under 45ish to have been of an impressionable age when Williams was doing his thing.

So what has happened since last week when I spotted it at around the number 87 in ASDA ?

Spouting Morrissey-esque (not) rantings doesn't fully convince your Moz-laden adversity is apparent. Your intention is the paradox.;)

The lady doth protest too much, methinks

So disinterested that you log on to a Morrissey fan site and dash off another 'eloquent' missive being negative about the album.

Sorry I'm not picking on you in particular BB I know we've crossed swords before (I hate fighting, honestly) but there's another thread here somewhere going on about how terrible this record is.

When will all the haters (not you BB of course, those other twats) get used to the fact that World Peace is brilliant?
I understand why the haters are in such tizz - I thought it was going to suck too! Maybe the album was all going to be like 'People Are The Same Everywhere'...
I'm afraid you're all gonna have to get used to the fact that World Peace is a classic.

If that was the case I'd be posting right along side the so called haters and detractors. That and The Kid's A Looker were a warning sign of things that did not come... thank god!

Seems almost bizarre that this wasn't mentioned on TTY; I don't suppose that those who had been keeping track of various charts for M had been those "Harvesters who tried" (or however exactly he put it).
