Morrissey is confirmed to play BASEL (Event Hall Messe) in Switzerland on Monday 3 November.
World Peace Is None Of Your Business reached #30 in Switzerland, which is the highest known charting position for Morrissey in this country. Morrissey is "delighted" to be asked to play. It is understood that the show will be televised nationally.

Greetings from Switzerland,
we would like to answer this question. Tickets for Basel go on sale September, 3rd at eight in the morning. The venue fits 1.300 people, all seated. We will have to sit at round tables (!) with six persons each. You need to book a seat at a table:

Entry fees are up to 130 Swiss francs which is - compared to 39 Euro for Lisbon - not cheap. Morrissey will be the second gig that night, he is scheduled at a quarter to ten. And dear friends, we will have to cheer up a rather dull Swiss audience. Sorry, this comes from a Swiss person. Let us try our very best! As you might know, he calls our country the "uncrackable nut, with no way in."

Love this fact that we will see his Mozness on telly..if only he would remember his roots & return for longer periods back to blighty...No 2 in our failed charts system. Not that anyone really cares, How could you when Ed sneernam was at No1 spot for six or so weeks...we love you Moz...come home.

All that cheese fondue must have gone straight to their heads.

Sweet!

A home town gig.

Anybody have ticket info for Basel?
Definitely doing this one as the city looks stunning!
How is the venue for anybody who has been there? I looked at their website & only got more confused!

Oh, the LOL! Is there a special set of tables for those on The List? Morrissey does the Swiss Chicken-In-A-Basket Tour. Can't wait to see the footage of this car crash on YouTube. Does he even review venues before he turns up? What's the book odds that he turns up and has a tantrum & "feels ill". Hilarious stuff! After a brief interlude of Art, Morrissey returns to Crap Commerce. It's all good!

best wishes & LOLs!

Well yeah, I was also laughing when it became clear which venue it is going to take place in. The "Baloise Session" is known to be quite posh, pricey and pernickety. I have been there several times, you dare not to cheer or scream there. Especially no hugging onstage, LOL. But hey, there will be at least one table that is freaking out all night. You will probably be able to make my table out then on TV.

amazing. I live in Basel.
never thought I could go to a Moz show on my bicycle.

The last gig in Switzerland was a very small and intimate venue (Montreux festival). This one will be a rather unusual one, too.

By the way: The Montreux gig was filmed, but I never ever saw any footage anywhere...

Throw some bread rolls at him. What's the menu options? Chicken chasseur? Cheese Fondue? Meat/Milk Is Murder. Will he be insisting you all eat nut cutlets? This promises to be an even more preposterous gig than the Oslo Nobel show when he tacitly endorsed Obama The War Lord by giving credence to the Nobel award system which honoured the Drone/Gitmo President.

LOL!

Basel is boring. So is Switzerland. There's no need to go there. Just take a handful of Valium and look at Interlaken footage on YouTube. No wonder dullard troll pseud Morrissey loves living there. Or is it the private banks/tax stuff? *smirks*

Fondue-ly yours

There are 140 countries listed, so we can see the gig later on TV :D
