I don't understand the use of a homoerotic image taken by a photographer notorious for capturing the male physique and its significance to a hetero, macho punk band from Queens. The only relevance seems to be that the Ramones were from New York. And this image is of Brooklyn boys, taken in New York. Hard to believe the management approved this sleeve. I like the photo. But it doesn't exactly
Exactly how is this a homo erotic image? It baffles me how one's own perception of reality bleeds onto paper as fact.
There are plenty of artistic images of the male form from the Ancient world which are genuine art, but any straight blokes seeing that image just sicked up a little in their mouths. That's the difference. It's the contents of Jean Paul Gaultier's wank bank versus Michelangelo's David.
As a Ramones album cover it leaves a lot to be de-Sired, but interesting that Morrissey appears to take more time choosing a greatest hits package by another artist than he can muster for his own.
Edit: That's for roguerebellions, who cannot format a post, by the way.
