These Charming X-Men by Adam Villacin

I love these. Pairing Rogue with "Hand in Glove" is perfect.

If he does another round of these, "Bigmouth Strikes Again" would fit well for Banshee.

The girlfriend in a coma looks more like the queen is dead, or no..?
It looks similar to the cover of The Queen Is Dead, but the reference being made is actually Jean Grey's storyarc in a series of Marvel Comics from the late 80s, beginning with The Dark Phoenix Saga. Basically, Jean Grey is an Omega-level mutant, meaning she really ain't nothing to f*** with. She also has to deal with being the human vessel for an extremely powerful cosmic entity called the Phoenix Force. At the end of The Dark Phoenix Saga, Jean Grey more or less gets obliterated after she becomes Dark Phoenix, loses control of her powers and accidentally blows up a planet. A few years later, some writers wanted to reintroduce her character, so her death got re-written to reveal that she was never actually dead; instead, the Phoenix Force found her dying body, healed her, put her in a coma and left her at the bottom of the ocean. It then assumed the appearance of Jean Grey, which is when she showed up in comics again.

She is also the on-again, off-again girlfriend of Scott Summers (Cyclops), hence Girlfriend in a Coma.

There Is An Optic Blast That Will Never Go Out: Adam Villacin Mashes Up The Smiths And The X-Men - Comics Alliance

Excerpt:

Or at least, that’s the conclusion that artist Adam Villacin came to with “These Charming X-Men,” a series of portraits on display at Secret Headquarters in Los Angeles that mashed up the Children of the Atom with Morrissey’s most famous lyrics, resulting in absolute hilarity. Seriously, Cyclops trying to cover his eyes set to “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out” might be the best thing I’ve seen all day, and that’s just where it starts.

...To snag prints or a full-color minicomic version of these morose and hilarious X-Men, head over to the Secret Headquarters gallery and check ‘em out!
