"World Peace..." review (Les Inrocks)

Being as I am a little rusty in le francais, I put this through Google's highly reliable translation service and I must say I agree with the review.
Most especially these bits:

... even solo (the Smiths are very largely outside competition), there were sacred flames before sacred lazy - one thinks of his albums and I or Vauxhall Viva Hate.

And it's good, because it is in this Premiere League that plays this unexpected new album, with the colossal I'm Not a Man (the Meat Is Murder of the twenty-first century), Kick the Bride Down the Aisle or Staircase at the University some of its most blowers songs, or a group of padlocks sentenced to excellence by a rogue production and rock still panting.

Printing finally hear Morrissey off its hinges, its routines, its facilities (three songs to loops, unworthy) of his career too safe for entertainer of outcasts united world - perhaps some recent flirtations with illness or death did they shoot at this override.

And there especially his voice, Morrissey has never sing as well, with an ease and jubilation crooner glam, as these nerve songs, Milk Soup, on which it bounces, ricochets, debate is finally defies rather that deified.

I totally agree with this confusingly vague translation!

Yeah, "Milk Soup" is definitely my favorite song on the album. It's sooooooo crooner glam.

And it bounces. And ricochets.

Milk Soup in french is Soupe au Lait. Was it a good au lait?

au liat just makes me think of a misto (half coffee half steamed milk). nice play on words there though. was impressed

This is reminding me of something I saw years ago where someone had translated the lyrics to This Charming Man into Japanese and then back into English again. It was hilarious. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

I did English to Japanese Kanji to English for Mountjoy. It's remarkably close, props to Google Translate. :squiffy:

Joy brings a lot

It does not allow you to bring your pleasure
Sons of mothers flocking here
Men and boys

1850 shook the door
Internal sweep domestic wastewater and
Victim where you speak in whines
Where shouted curing

I was sent here by three feet and a half wit in wig
By taking the insult to his chin, I never did not flinch I

Swagger hides the fear here
By this rule, we breathe
There is not anyone on this planet
Who am I to think it sad to leave

We see you lose all
The loss of all we

What those in power to you
I remind us at a glance
How humans hate each other's guts
And it shows given the chance

You do not say that it aloud us
We can say in our prayers
And who cares cause

Many are run here
The good thing terrible legal
However, I the only thing I am crying
Is when you see the sky I

Laughter ring of Brendan Behan
For what was not done what he had for
Because he knew I have to know now
For each one of us that
The loss of all we
The loss of all rich and poor, we
Rich and poor, they all lost

"Soupe au lait" is a French expression meaning grumpy or moody.
That last paragraph is hard to translate as it uses expressions & plays on words, but here is an attempt:
"And overall there is his voice: Morrissey has never sung so well, with the ease and the exhilaration of a glam crooner, than on these nervous & moody songs, on which he bounces & fights his way out, finally challenged instead of glorified" (that last bit plays on "défié" (defied/challenged) & déifié (glorified/treated like a god) and does not really make sense translated)

Long story short JD is in love <3
