Dropping like a stone, will be nowhere in sight next week
This is not a massive drop. Morrissey's albums have often sunk after the first week, because the die-hards (us) buy it, or 4 copies of it, on the first day it is released. The exception to the rule was Quarry where its four top 10 singles kept the album in the top 10, 40, 100, for a long time, because when the album was about to sink out of sight a single would buoy it back up in the charts. It is actually a testament to this album, that with no singles, and pretty much no promotion/press, that it did not drop further. As Fred said, a lot of non-die-hards did not even know he had put out a new album. I would venture that these second week sales suggest that in the U.K. - not the U.S.A. - that the overwhelmingly positive reviews and good word of mouth has spread such that the less hardcore fans and the cross-over fans know there is a new album and are buying it.

Funny! There is no surprises here--actually he is lucky it is still in top twenty. We all must remember that this is one of his worst releases in his solo career.

He is a depressive, negative character who copes with those traits through his popularity. Now that is waning how will he deal with that? He's too narcissistic to kill himself, so brace yourselves for more ludicrous comments from the bunker.
Hi Johnny,I fully understand the need for some to put a brave face on these disappointing results but worldwide sales of 58,000, some of which may well have been hardcore fans "buying four copies" isn't exactly great. Years of Refusal sold 58,000 in the first two months, not worldwide, but in the USA alone.

World Peace has/had two main problems to overcome. Firstly, the songs simply aren't there, and secondly, and I think most importantly, Morrissey himself is now a toxic brand. He has been running his mouth for too long, and even people who have supported him are sick of it. You can behave like a diva when you are one, but when you struggle to sell out a small town tour of the US you simply cannot.
As I said a couple of weeks ago the complete lack of interest in its promotion from Morrissey himself makes me wonder if even he was fully convinced by it. He caught a cold from KY [sic] yet a month later was still too ill? That doesn't stack up, unless he was lying.

It's all pointing to a Smiths reunion, sooner or later. The money and spotlight will be too much to pass up.
f*** off already.
Nobody's calling you a twat for liking the album so quit with the aggressive behaviour.
