"World Peace..." review by Kitty Empire (4/5 stars) - The Observer / The Guardian

Another Morrissey album. Well, Boring. After the beautiful "Vauxhall & I" why didn't he stop as he said if he made crap?! He did, so well, with "Maladjusted", "You Are The Quarry" and the last ones. "Istanbul" is great but all other songs boring, heavy and tired. "Journalists who lie..." he sung.

I agree, I loved Istanbul. But the rest I'm finding boring.

I truly believe that these part-poopers infesting this site are not real Morrissey fans...to deny the album the quality it so obviously boasts screams "I'm actually a Coldplay person".

The 18 tracks released so far are better each listen. It is weird to read all this unfair bashing here. It must make Morrissey sad, if he ever reads this...

There's way more praise than bashing and you can tell the bashing is written by the same person, that voice that only has the intellectual culpetude to "compare and contrast" like an average ten-year-old. They are comparing and contrasting it to "insert-favorite-90s-era-album" because that's all they can do, their brains can only wax critical for so many sentences, then to make themselves "sound critical" they say it isn't good. But they're on their tenth listen of it. Trust me. Their online persona of critical thinker has so much more at stake than their actual opinion because it's the only critical thing they have in their life of being pussy-whipped by their wives and middle management bosses. Let them use this space to be critical of WPINOYB, I doubt Morrissey's gives a rat's ass.

This made me laugh. Seriously though, I don't understand how a Morrissey fan could not at least like (with the potential to eventually love) this album. Everything about it just feels so right, and each listen makes it better.
 
heard the album, Jim C. [yes, his backname is too long] the producer did a top job, as in
the intervieuw ,you can hear all the percussion instruments, who make the songs much richer,
and that is the strongest point on this album.

more to come, or not...

'and they say he's mentall' ... made in eindhoven ...

I think it's a pose on a lot of these people's behalf. Some very nice people are lukewarm about it here, but they don't post relentlessly saying the same thing over and over again. The others seem to be more critical of Morrissey and his persona more than the album itself...
