"World Peace Is None Of Your Business" US Deluxe CD - Best Buy Exclusive (July 22, 2014)

How many versions of this thing are there!?

When you plug the UPC in Google, it seems fairly available elsewhere.

Yes, in other countries or as an import. Best Buy is the only retailer in the US selling a physical copy of the deluxe edition.

Well that seems very odd considering this:

I stopped by the store last week, and a friend of mine who works there happened to be in. As he was ringing me up, I asked him if he'd be getting the new Morrissey album. He checked the computer system, said yes, a standard and a deluxe edition. So I pre-ordered the deluxe. It's possible my friend made a mistake and gave me bad information (in which case I will wind up with two copies of the standard CD - no big deal), but he was certainly under the impression that his store will be stocking both the standard and deluxe releases.

Which means if FYE is stocking deluxe editions, they are getting them from Best Buy, raising the price by $18, and reselling them...Lol.

Wouldn’t be surprised! There used to be an FYE in the mall near me but they went out of business. They would oftentimes have a more vast selection as far as chain stores go (compared to say, Best Buy) but the prices were ridiculous.

Best Buy - like iTunes, shows Istanbul as track 4
Amazon and Julia(TTY) show it as track 3 -
What's it going to be ??!?

What's the story with the 7/22 release date of this and the Hot Topic vinyl? Are they trying to get people to order the download for 7/15 and then buy the physical piece a week later?

No. Pretty much every physical version of the album is available on the 14 or 15.

These just seem to be specialty releases released later to help with second week sales.

Maybe if Moz fans would send a message to him by not buying every single different version of his new release, he would stop & think about these ridiculous concert cancellations. But for now, the message is clear -- Moz can treat his fans like crap, and they will trip over each other to buy his product.

Nice find, though this looks like the same deluxe edition available on iTunes and elsewhere...not very "exclusive" is it? Maybe the price is lower.

are you mentally-handicapped? if you think a crap bit-rate iTunes download is the same thing, or even vaguely the same quality as, a compact disc, then you don't give much of a sh*t about the music.

your question is the question of a moron.

Same here. First they were Sam Goody, then FYE, then Electronics Boutique...now, they are a Lids. People don't want to pay $30 for a single movie or album no matter how cool your store is.

It’s definitely a sign of the times that there are less and less stores like that around. Luckily the independent shops I still frequent are doing great.
