A friend says these popped up in Los Angeles and New York overnight... Love the fontwork.

I like it.

I am feeling hopeful, but I guess we will know (possibly) in a couple of days when the tour starts? At least we will know what songs will be in his setlist…

I am oddly anxious to find out.

It's a take on street art, Bansky / Occupy fonts.

He made some comments about protest graffiti in Athens if I remember. It will be interesting to see what images goes with the text. Will it be as good as Banksy's NYC "Siren Of The Lambs" animals in transit to Auschwitz? I doubt the album title is meant to give primacy to the human species above others. At least I hope not. Without peace between humans and other animals, there can never be peace on this planet:

"British artist Banksy's latest artwork in New York, Sirens of the Lambs, sees a slaughterhouse delivery truck full of stuffed animals driving round the city's streets. The vehicle has been around the Meatpacking district and will continue to tour New York for two weeks. The artist has released a series of new street art around the city"

It's not protest art though, only a modern morrissey fan would suggest that. the stone roses did promote their lp in graffiti in the 80s and blur in the 90s.

Looks like the same font employed by the moomins. Still I'm excited that the release is coming closer and hope he plays some of the songs at his gigs.

I'm not a "modern morrissey fan", whatever that is. We shall see if it's "protest art" when the final image is revealed, unless this is the final image and there's no further reveal. Yes, Blur and The Stone Roses are far more important historical references than Robert Del Naja and/or Bansky....*rollseyes* Imagine if "WPINOYB" has even a scintilla of the sonic thrills of "Heligoland"? Unlikely, but you never know....

Like the font and the deep blue background. Would make a good t-shirt.

Is it blue? I thought it was black. Maybe this is his Black Album and the picture will be on the inside, a gift for only those who buy the LP?

Wheat paste campaigns are way more effective that billboards. In LA, at least. We sort of train ourselves to ignore billboards because they're up high and keep our eyes on the road (Or our phones when we're breaking the law and texting while driving. :p) But when stuck at a traffic light, (often) all there is to look at is the repetitive poster campaigns on the corner at driver eye level. I've learned about more movies/concerts/album releases/TV pilots from wheat pastes than billboards.
