Morrissey quoted in piece on LA living by Louis Theroux

Man I hate Louis Theroux, all he does it keep asking "why? why? why? why?" to responses that are bleedingly obviously as to "why". Then when there is a chance to ask an insightful question he has nothing to say and usually goes all wide eyed like he's about to be hit or something.

I think you are SO wrong. Louis is brilliant. He gets people to open up and trust him moreso than any other documentarian I can think of (other than Herzog), just by acting so innocent and clueless.

Watch his early Weird Weekends and see how people built a wall around themselves because he was a snarky a-hole mocking them, to how truly deep and rich and empathetic his new docs are.

Morrisseys main base is still LA, Switzerland, UK..It never really changes
LT is "alright" a one trick pony and typical of Morrisseys modern fans - rich, middle class and media friendly
Where does Louie live?

Louis Theroux: Moving to Los Angeles - BBC News

For his new series of documentaries about Los Angeles, Louis Theroux and his family relocated to the city, where they found themselves gradually embracing the Angeleno way of life.

"I normally live in Los Angeles, if you can call it normal living" (Morrissey)

He doesn't get people to open up, he just stands there in fear going "why? why? why?" and the interview ends leaving you feeling completely unfulfilled screaming at the TV "why didn't you ask him about blah blah blah?!" He is the man of missed opportunity. Constantly like a deer in headlights when he should be in complete control (even when he appears not to be, which is what you seem to think he is). No one trusts Theroux, everyone he meets hates him because he's such an unlikable cowardly little worm. Take a guy like Andrew Denton for example. Now he is what Louis Theroux only wishes he could be. Different format of course, but his show 'Enough Rope' was where he would just display the perfect tactic that Theroux only dreams he could do - give them enough rope and they'll hang themselves.

It says on wikipedia Louis Theroux used to live in the London district of Harlesden, which isn't very posh. He now lives in Los Angeles, after moving there in early 2013 with his family, but plans to return to Britain.

Morrissey's main base is still LA, Switzerland, UK (mainly Cheshire/Manchester & London).

Ireland and Rome in Italy were also known to be his base at one time.

I love Louis and I love him even more now I know he's a Moz fan! ;)
