Re: TTY - Your Arsenal Remastered album released today UK, tomorrow US

What are the chances the DVD in the UK CD/DVD edition is region free/NTSC? Much cheaper via the UK than to purchase here in Canada.

No bonus tracks or demos? or B-sides?... Now waiting for "Vauxhail and I" Remastered

I haven't heard this yet, but I wondered how Fatty and We Hate It now sound. To my ears they always seemed to have noticeably less oomph on the original, when compared to the heavier tracks.

It's expensive in the US - about $20 at Amazon is the cheapest I can find, although importcds is a little less. Anyone else know where to get it for a good price? It comes out about the same USD to order from amazon.co.uk and pay for shipping to here.

What's the dvd like mine not arrived yet.

It's bootleggy, not quite as rough as Live In Dallas though! Interesting gig with a great setlist and a band all with a level of musical ability we'd kill to see on stage with Moz these days !

No extras or anything, its barebones.

Waldo.

The dvd is a bag of shite. But in a good way.
As in 'wow, remember how exciting VHS bootleg tapes were?!'
They've spent seven cents on the digital transfer (including menu 'design')

Interesting mainly for the inclusion of songs that you will never hear again live (anything from 'Kill Uncle') but primarily for the record of just how mental that tour was, and a visual capture of the truly strange relationship between that artist and that audience at that point in time.

But, 'level of musical ability'? Sorry, but that's rose-tinted ears friend. The band are shocking. At that point. Clearly they went on to far greater heights, but, on that tour, it was not at all about musical ability. It was about pure pop madness.

Agreed. The band was atrocious at that time. Could hardly play and did stadium shows on equipment more suited for pub gigs. But they had energy, passion and a gang mentality that made everything work somehow. They were a BAND - something that has been sadly lacking in the revolving door of muscular american studion musicians that is Mozzas "band" these days...

My CD arrived from Amazon today, both discs have "Parlophon" on them rather than the expected Pvarlophone, anyone else got the same kind of disc?

Yep. It's a vintage Italian Parlophone label. Same thing that featured on the 'Satellite of Love' 12 inch vinyl release. And on the vinyl version of this album.
Why?
Why Not?

Don't complain too much still the album is better than Years or refusal, classic tracks on it like Tomorrow, Seasick, The national, etc, and the sound is great, glam, pop, rock, sad mellow ballads, a great album remastered for new generations

I'm no expert on remastering albums but to me this sounds incredible. We can lose ourselves in the record all over again, like we did half a lifetime ago. I like the louder, fuller sound and I love the clarity of the little touches like the ticking before Seasick and the radio at the start of I Know It's Gonna Happen...

Anything can beat Years Of Refusal. At least Morrissey won't be ending on that terrible album.
