"Satellite Of Love" (live) released (UK digital download, Dec. 2, 2013)

"Satellite Of Love": Digital download released today in the UK - true-to-you.net

Parlophone Records release "Satellite Of Love" by Morrissey as a digital download today in the UK.

The release was recorded live at the Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on 25 November 2011.

The release of "Satellite Of Love" is in tribute to the writer of the song, Lou Reed, who died on 27 October 2013.

Stoned also posted the links to the pre-orders for the 7" and 12" at recordstore.co.uk to be released on Jan. 27, 2014.

‘Satellite Of Love (Live)’ will be available on three formats: picture disc 7”, heavyweight 12” (both featuring a rare Renaud Monfourny photo of Morrissey) and digital download. All formats will include ‘You’re Gonna Need Someone On Your Side’, the opening track from Morrissey’s seminal 1992 album ‘Your Arsenal’, which was produced by the legendary and hugely influential Spiders From Mars’ guitarist and arranger, Mick Ronson (whom also co-produced Lou Reed’s original ‘Satellite Of Love’ and its parent album, ‘Transformer’).

In addition, across all three formats there will also be four previously unreleased live tracks: ‘All You Need Is Me’, ‘Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed’, ‘Vicar In A Tutu’ and a cover of Buzzcocks’ ‘You Say You Don’t Love Me’, all recorded live in Hyde Park, 4th July 2008.

I'll never understand those selections of B'sides.

Poor old Lou its hardly been a month since he met his maker ! The man really has a thick hide, oh well I suppose chart positions are more important to Lord Career-slide

This is where we see that all the success of Autobiography makes absolutely f*** all difference in the success of Morrissey as a modern day recording artist.
This release won't get anywhere near the charts.

Just looking at the cover makes me think what a low-life sick bastard !

Why is Morrissey so young on the front cover? The songs weren't recorded in 1988-1990. Bit depressing since the man won't make a penny on this random live release :/

Can somebody tell me where can this digital release be downloaded from? Perhaps the original post could then be edited to include this link for everyone to dispose from.

So the digital download versions I've seen have no B-Sides, just the single?

I bought Satellite off iTunes. Can't find Mama Lay Softly anywhere?! Doesn't appear to be on the 12" or 7"...

Any ideas?

God that's pathetic ... why not then release just Satellite of Love and YGNSOYS in Jan, and then again in March with all 3. Better yet; release half of Satellite of Love now and then release the other half of the song in April next year.

I hope whatever money he makes from this (probably not much) he won't keep for himself. Although of course some people will scream "He can do whatever he wants!!!" :D
I know he can...I'm just saying I think it should go to a good cause.

BTW I never liked those mannequin photos ("He can do whatever he wants!!!").

Yes, I know it's a bit too late to say that...and he can do whatever he wants anyway, can't he...
