According to a source, rumors of Morrissey (from the Smiths) working in recording studio are true, with as many as eight songs having been put to tape. “It’s still in the early stages,” “He’s got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper,” a source said.

World Tour To Follow New Album?

Morrissey is rumoured to be planning a worldwide tour at the end of 2014. When contacted, a representative had no information on a new album, or any of the singer’s future plans. This isn’t the first time in recent memory reports have surfaced about Morrissey recording sessions. Fans will be anxiously awaiting...

Sounds fake, although keyboard-Gustavo said at a Q&A following a canadian showing of 25:Live that they hoped for either an album release or a tour in 2014, if I remember correctly. He also said that he himself had written two songs for Moz!
 
This is a fake site and it has been brought up here before. I mean, just look at the "Morrissey Recent news" under the article. "Morrissey is Highest-Paid Singer in the World", "Morrissey Nude Photos Leaked Online". Quite funny...

I heard from two separate sources that he was recording at Hook End Manor last December.
 
Really. I heard I was going to buy and read an autobiography soon...

But this rumour about a new album might still be based on facts!

It's supposedly a parody site, but there's nothing really anything funny in any of the articles. They all seem just to be outrageous headlines designed to draw unsuspecting pageviews, hence $$$.
 
A tour in late 2014 is possible but an album ? Keep wishing ! Unless Moz lowers himself to use a smaller studio/company like the band The Fall does in going with Cherry Red Records in releasing their new record this year .
 
Just thinking aloud. Is it possible for Morrissey to release an album through Penguin? They have the distribution capability; they produce and distribute audio material (books, admittedly); from a marketing perspective, it would be a first and likely to garner a good deal of attention. I'm on my fifth Godfather (whiskey and amaretto) so forgive me if I'm talking crap...

Lol. Publishers release audio book albums all the time and organize signing tours, lets just think of venues as bookstores. It's not such a crazy idea. I have a feeling though a lot more goes into stage organization and the human resources for a concert than setting up a card table with some flowers and a couple of sharpies. :p
