wonder if the remastered ' kill Uncle' make the UK album chart list

[yes, I know wrong comments on both itms, but they popped up just as I signed in, playboys single wasn't a newsitem first time I checked in again]

LOLOLOLOL! One comment...oh, what a shame. this will get absolutely zero media response because of Margaret Thatcher's death. Unless, of course, Moz is scribbling something controversial for Julia right now...silly cover too, if he wanted to 'Like!' Rick, he should have done so before it was tiresomely hip. #ironyCDcoverEpicFail!

It isn't like a decades old album and single re-issue was going to make headlines...

If you can show me where I said they were the same island, I will.

What? You can't because I didn't say that & you're just an idiot who lacks reading and comprehension skills?

Re:

Scotland is not Britain. That would be like saying Alaska is Canada or Mexico is Guatemala.

Perhaps I should have specified Northern Ireland...that's what I get for assuming. Not surprising that you'd latch onto the lack of specification as some kind of victory because you lack depth in every other aspect.

I never claimed Ireland or Northern Ireland was part of Britain. Perhaps you spent too much time in geography class and not enough in English?

Can you explain the difference between Britain and United Kingdom?

How come Britain is only consisted of England and Wales?

Because Britain is England & Wales. Great Britain, there is a difference, consists of those and Scotland. The United Kingdom consists of all the mentioned, Northern Ireland and the British territories.

Is he right?

I don't think so.

Re:

The name Britain goes back to the Roman conquest, Britain is thought of as England and Wales, but not Scotland as the Romans never conquered Scotland.
Great Britain is England, Wales, and Scotland.
While the United Kingdom is, England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Yes he is right Kewpie.

Thank you very much.

VH didn't explain the difference between Britain and Great Britain in his post.

I thought Britain and Great Britain were the same.

Wrong. Britain is a geographical island. Great Britain is a political concept which upsets French folk because it stems from British control of "Brittany" in Northern France, as in 'little britian' bit of France rather than 'Great Britain' as mainland. If Scotland is not part of Britain then there has been a major geological event separating Northumbria, Cumbria and the Scottish lowlands. This is not on BBC news so I don't think it's happened. I'm sure I'd have heard the noise if it did. Scotland was an independent nation until it went bankrupt competing with England to be a big colonial bas-ass. It did this by trying to colonise what is now Panama. You can google The Darian Scheme or Darian Adventure. Most Scottish people know absolutely nothing about this, preferring instead to watch Mel Gibson in high heels doing his silly blowhard Bravehart blue woad nonsense fictitous cartoon strip of history. Most Scottish people are nice and have sexy accents but some of them become psychotic if you point out that they lost, and hence had to come with a begging bowl to the English and join The Union of England and Scotland. The whole crazy scene in Northern Ireland came from Scottish cults moving there because...their ancestors came from Ireland and they were homesick, I guess...

it's so nuts that it's best just to read Joe Bageant on why the whole f***ed up-ness of the world began from the bunch of crazy white crackers on these islands:

http://www.dailypaul.com/133101/how-the-scots-irish-screwed-up-america

Once you add in the Royal Family (who were Francs, from Normandy in France, but actually were originally Vikings who were too crazy and got thrown out of Scandinvia, then killed each other and interbred then hitched up with the present German royal family) it all gets a bit much to try and figure out. Have a packet of Advil handy.

Nowadyas, it's "the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". Wales isn't a country in modern legal terms but a 'principality' of the Royals, so they don't even get a mention. I know, it's crazy.... just chill and enjoy the bonkers music and culture. Hardly anyone here understands, and most people don't care. I reject the Royal Family and the corrupt political parties of the current Irish State. I no longer recognise anything but the islands of Britain and Ireland and the myriad tribes who live there. But I am a crazy visionary so don't mention this stuff to passport control if you ever visit.

Let's get back to Morrissey's fascinating new single. I'm sure the remaster is sizzling *yawns*

None of you are right, and all of you are right - depends on which century you are writing in - United Kingdom, Kingdom of Great Britain, island of Great Britain, Pre Historic Britain, Roman Britain, British Isles, British Empire... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain

Now, why haven't I bought The Last of The Famous yet?

why would you buy yet another version? why would anyone? it's heritage tat, like Moz drinking tea from a 'special' tea-pot. Does the 'salt Grindr' guy double up to pour the tea, or is that another member of the entourage? Mariah Carey, diva? Dream on!

Re: Article: "The Last Of The Famous International Playboys" (special edition single)

it's a bit sad to talk in 2 or 3 newsitems about a woman who had no power since Tony Blair, count the years, it's like you lot thing the Queen died, it's only Margareth Thatcher, 10 years PM, what's that in a country with Keats and Yeats and Morrissey
