as someone who purposefully avoids setlists so i can be surprised, i'd say it was an excellent setlist. i think the biggest surprise for me was maladjusted, and you could tell he was completely into it. let me kiss you was also an incredible highlight. i'm sure someone else will post the full setlist. my first time seeing him, too. phenomenal show.

A good show, but too many mediocre songs including LMKY, You Have Killed Me, Action, Black Cloud, Paris, and To Give. He has such a huge library to pull from, yet he still trots out the boring, lackluster songs.

The MIM video is too much.

First Morrissey show- loved every minute of it - I will get floor seats
the next time. I loved it !!

The band sounded great and I was suprised how physical they were - fantastic though.

You are not a real fan then. I hate this poser fans on this site

opened with 'Shoplifters Of The World Unite'
ended with 'Meat Is Murder' // 'How Soon Is Now?'
'You Have Killed Me' was played instead of 'That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore'
all other songs were the same as Port Chester, although the order was shuffled a little bit.

i actually enjoyed Kristeen Young's set. she's quite pretty too.
Morrissey sounded great. the band was a bit too loud at times.
Moz wasn't too chatty. the crowd was very appreciative and polite.
highlight for me was 'Ouija Board, Ouija Board' and i even liked 'Meat Is Murder'.

that is your sum total and 'review' of the show?! you must be kidding! 'mediocre', 'trots out boring, lackluster songs'. unbelievable. why even go to the show? you must have known that he was going to play most, if not all of the songs you mentioned, especially 'action' & 'black cloud'. its a tour. usually, an artist will play thier most current material during 'that' tour. ever been to a concert before? what really stuns me about your post is that you even bothered to make one. if you thought the show was, 'good', heard 'mediocre, boring' songs, why didnt you just go home and go to sleep? aside from the drunken idiots, people who scream the wrong words to songs during the show, and the 'pushers and shovers', the worst kind of morrissey concert goer, is you. the person who has a comatose look in the face, and bitches about being bored. might i suggest you go to a j-lo concert next time if you want a lazer show, 53 dancers, and 19 changes of clothes. us sane people will take our moz. thanks.

After 25 years of loving the man, I got on stage tonight! My joy knows no bounds! If anyone recorded HSIN, I'd be eternally grateful if you would share it. I barely remember it now its such a blur. Many thanks to the kind people in the front row who helped me out!

That's the idea.

All the songs you have mentioned are all stunning live songs. Black Cloud at Brooklyn was probably the stand out song, the passion it was sung with was breathtaking. Let Me Kiss You is the highlight of the show for those who love to see a bit of Moz flesh, and it is also one of his best songs of the last 10 years. You Have Killed Me is a really strong song and also holds a special place in the hearts of many fans because of the rendition of it last year in Bogota - check it out on YouTube to see why. Action is My Middle Name would have been a Top 10 single if a record company had been wise enough to sign Moz and To Give (Is the Reason I Live) is one of Morrissey's best ever covers, and obviously reflects his feelings regarding his live shows. Throwing My Arms Around Paris becomes an even more interesting song if you picture it being sung by Oscar Wilde, who adopted Paris as his final home and died there. The MIM video is giving Morrissey's message of the right to live for those who have no voice, it is hard hitting because it has to be.
Black Cloud will today be announced as a Number 1 somewhere in the world, it really is THAT good, not 'arf.

Don't make fun of Grandad taking his shirt off because he can't help it
When he was a lot younger he could get away with it

How dare you come on here, the online hateful creche and post your own thoughts and opinion!!
Your penance is to re-think your thoughts, fall back in line and post 10 more positive reviews.
Unbelievable what was you thinking, had you been drinking when you posted ?

I've waited 26 years for last night and I thought he was great. I enjoyed Kristeen Young. And I did not even mind the loud mouth heckler somewhere behind me. I loved everything...but I was blown away by super-loud Maladjusted. (My slacker-self having never heard it before.) I remember thinking, "What is this beautiful song?" :)

While I respect your passion in the opinion below, I could not disagree more. He has over-played these songs and I am sick down to my heart of them.
Actually, I never cared for any of them. Aside from a few B-sides....I haven't enjoyed or related to any of post-Maladjusted era catalogue. Being a 38 year old
fan, doesn't quite qualify me for Smiths live era fan, but certainly for the whole of Morrissey's solo career. It does seem that a lot of fans would agree with me (whether they admit it or not) I guess I'm just not a fan of the over 40 Morrissey. It just keeps getting worse too. His mannerisms on stage, his Kermit grunts, the tone of his singing voice, the way he annunciates words now. I have lost the fervency and urgency to listen and keep up like I used to, call it maturity call it what you will but life goes on. Life after Morrissey - who'd of thunk it? Still, I won't forget the songs that saved my life, and I'll think of him kindly.

Erik, I have to agree 100%. Your explanation of how the songs relate to you now and back in your younger days is very similar to me. Had this been 1991, I would have been very excited about the show last night. However, while I was looking forward to it, my excitement level was not that high. I was actually looking forward to running into old friends that I had not seen in years. The recent songs I mentioned earlier really do not "click" with me, and maybe this is due to my age. Even the classic Everyday is Like Sunday was somewhat weak. I will say that Please, Please, Please...was great, except for the knuckleheads yelling during it.

Morrissey's performances have gone down hill for sure. Many fans agree with us, and then there are those who cannot be critical of him.

Then surely it is time for you to leave this 'fan site?' GO, GO, WE DON'T NEED YOU, GO, JUST GO. If you have come to the conclusion that you no longer like morrissey's new stuff, why hang around bitching?

Oh, it's you again. How many different names have you used now? How many?

I have been a fan since 1987. I am as real a fan as can be. I agree that those songs are boring and overplayed and need to be put to pasture.

Most of us only get to see Morrissey a few times in our lives and don't get a chance to find the songs overplayed. and, people, come on, the man is 53 years old, you can't expect him to dance around like he was 25 again. I think that if you don't want to hear the set list, stay home and let those of us out here who dream of just maybe being able to see him again before he quits touring altogether a chance to enjoy a great show without the negativity. and, before anyone on here says that "maybe you should go to more shows", I do have a full time job and family and for most of us out here traveling all over just to follow a band (no matter how masterful they are) is simply not possible. I am just thrilled to be in the same room as Moz once again and, to me, he was great, the band was great, and I hope that he honors our town with his presence again.
