He left during murder and never came back. Show was choppy.

Felt like he kept restarting with every shirt change. He seemed good with crowd except for one who tried to pull him in. But sound or voice was cutting out. Not sure if that was his problem. Band left, roadies started packing up, lights on. No encore

Things got screwed up during meat is murder... Some lines were missed or something. They finished the song and Moz went off as usual, but they didn't come back for an encore. :(

One reason for no encore, aside from maybe the lame, sitting-crowd that was in the balcony, was because it was impossible to get on stage.

No encore, I wonder why?

Hmmm, it couldn't be that 'someone' in his group informed him of the Blue Rose Society's website recently, and the whole thing has creeped him out, to the point of not wanting to make physical contact from 'those' fans...

well maybe he was in pain from being stangled past gig, the man gets 53, keep that is mind

Morrissey is not the energetic stage racer anymore, he's 53, but his voice keeps on going better.
He's in good condition, but sometimes the feeling the show doesn't run, and you know how bitching he canbe
just ending the show as he likes [throwing water, cancel]

viva Morrissey, the tour is just started in the USA 2013.

Gotta say - I've seen Moz 13 times and always given him the benefit of the blunt. But tonight was nothing more than a his say fit because people didn't go nutnfornhis meat is murder video and song. So we get punished with no encore. Prior to that I would have said "nice show" but honestly, when these light cameo and he never returned and did no encourage or said "good night & thank you" I was like "screw you"…and I am a huge fan.

The House of Blues does have a curfew. I have been to a couple shows there and usually they stop most of their sets around 11:30-12:00. The only time I’ve been there when they didn’t have a curfew was Elvis Costello on a New Year’s Eve show. I'll post more about the show.

I was truly, truly disappointed in the crowd tonight...so much pushing and all around/drunk induced rudeness. I have never been in the company of fellow Moz fans that acted like animals before. I think this may be my final concert.

i was disappointed that there was no encore which i thought could be "still ill" based on previous night's set list. oh well. here's a video of shoplifters that i recorded. http://youtu.be/QoHP9g_cJUU

I honestly thought the show was great. I have seen him before, and he appeared in great form tonight. I loved the bit where he passed the mic out asking if anyone had advice for him. He was animated, not moody, had great reactions to the crowd, and definitely flirty (weird word to use but appropriate).

I have also been to shows at HOB before, and they cut off sets that go beyond curfew. MIM ended around 11:28, so there was no time for even one more song.

Well from my vantage point things were going just fine... seen many "off" gigs and this did not strike me as such. He made one or two comments about how high the stage was as compared to the crowd. Other than that he seemed pretty much in good spirits, cracking jokes right up until late in the set.

Actually now that I think about it...... he did take longer than usual returning to the stage after LMKY. So much so that I did briefly think 'oh f***' for a few moments.... but he came back in fine form. It was definetly a shock when there was no encore. His voice was good all night.

Maybe it was just past his bedtime..... the entire proceeding was one hour later than normal, with Moz taking the stage at 10 as opposed to 9.

OK first off, this is the fifth time I’ve seen Moz. He was good tonight, and I really enjoyed hearing songs that I haven’t heard before like “November”, “Alma Matter”, “Maladjusted”, and “Ouija Board”. One of the things that I really liked was the merch booth was selling an autographed canvas print. It looked really cool, and I treated myself to one. It was $90 bucks and all 15-20 of them sold old before Moz went on stage. Just thought I share that because I didn’t know the booth was selling autographed items, so now people know for later on during the tour (if they continue having them).

Let me say this first, the crowd was TERRIBLE. All the people around me didn’t give a shit about the solo material and only got going during the Smiths songs. This is actually the first time I’ve have seen this at a Morrissey gig. Way too many people were on their stupid cell phones. I mean people are paying good money for this show and it’s like they aren’t even watching Moz but are there on their phone to update their social media statues bragging they are at the sold out Morrissey gig. Really was rubbing me the wrong way. There was also no encore and I have my opinion on why, see my first post.

Also some idiot that tried a failed stage invasion almost pulled Morrissey down into the pit. Moz had to jump back before getting pulled down. Let me also say, if I’m going to a Morrissey show, I’m going to sing along to the songs. Several times people around me where giving me weird looks because I was singing along to the songs. Hello, that’s what you’re supposed to do! You don’t go to a Morrissey show to sit on your ass and stare blankly at him, while mildly applauding. You’re supposed to go ape shit (in your own way and enjoy this moment in time).

Overall I enjoyed the set and Morrissey sounded great. The no encore was a big disappointment, but an even bigger disappointment was the lame ass crowd. I hope others on here that get the pleasure to see Morrissey on this tour sign their hearts out and appreciate being there.
