I agree with you 98%, but you forgot the encore
in which he would play LOST and Trouble Loves Me.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your wish-list. Somebody else on this board knows of the magic contained within SOUTHPAW GRAMMER.
We are few but proud!

and the worst of all:
"you ran with your pals in the sun"
that has to be the most idiotic line Morrissey has ever written. I cringe every time I hear it!

poor twisted children so stupid so stupid...

except 'teachers', the quality of the other songs you mentioned is so dull; if the melody & the tunes are feeble, then the words can't save the song from oblivion!!!

here's some songs I'd like 2 hear in belgium..
speedway...driving your girlfriend..well I wonder..that joke isn't funny...lazy sunbathers..I'd love 2..
moonriver... & so many other ones but PLEASE, not these uninspired recent songs..

I think the simple lyrical and musical structure of the album that makes it so incredible. It's just stripped down Rock and Roll at its best. Such crucial lyrics said in the most simple way, make for an effective delivery. I wasn't going to comment about this, because it's a very old argument and everyone has their favorites and the songs they hate, but to call someone twisted and stupid, and to say the songs are uninspired is ridiculous! When reading your post, the line "The year 2000 won't change anyone here" comes to mind. Please, it's okay not to like Southpaw(i can't see why), but don't call people stupid for having different tastes.

waiting for moz to play lost and reader meet author in vegas and cochella,

You hate Southpaw Grammar because you can't get your head around it

So, so predictable the anti-"Southpaw" brigade.

RobM has his finger on the pulse but you obviously don't.

"Southpaw Grammar" is his strongest record to date: maybe because it is basic and stripped down, as well as being heartfelt and uplifting. Yes, the critics didn't like it but so what?

It blows everything else out of the water (including "Vauxhall And I").

It just takes some patience and eventually you will be rewarded.

You know it makes sense.
